Taphouse has not missed a beat of friendliness and service. Ben, the bartender was personable and took his time to get to know us. Tried the burgers and was not disappointed. Cheese grits were AWESOME. So was the banana pudding.
Highly recommend as a frequent visit.

My wife and I had a very nice lunch on a Friday afternoon. They were not very busy, and we received prompt and polite service with plenty of check-ins. Draft beer samples were offered before choosing a pint.

I had the meat loaf, along with mashed potatoes/gravy, seasoned green beans, biscuit, and a draft beer. My wife enjoyed one of the specialty burgers and fries.

I strongly recommend a visit here, and would to return and tro more of the local draft beers.

Absolutely delicious comfort food in a warm, authentic atmosphere! Everything tasted homemade and full of flavor. The place has such a cozy, welcoming vibe — exactly what I was looking for during our trip. Perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great meal! I forgot take pictures of my plate:)

Was a neat place we found after doing a cave tour near by. Atmosphere is laid back, friendly and clean.

Food was delicious and prices were reasonable even on the cheaper side. I would have paid more with no complaints.

For just opening a couple months back I think they have a lot of potential of being go to place for food in this area.

Keep it up and good luck!

Finally ate here and I’m am so glad to have this restaurant in town! They serve fantastic comfort food! I mean the fried chicken was out of this world. It was juicy, crispy, and had great flavor. They have some creative cocktails which I wasn’t expecting. Service was quick and attentive. I love the hunting cabin vibe. I cannot wait to go back.

When we walked in, the sign said wait to be seated. 3 different people looked at us and never acknowledged us. We waited a good 7-8 minutes before anyone came over to seat us. Our waitress was friendly, she only came to our table to take our order and then to give us the bill, she never stopped to see if we needed anything else or refill drinks.
The food was good, we had a burger, boneless chicken bites, fried chicken, Mac n cheese and beans. Classic comfort food, nothing to make it stand out.
All is all, this was average in everything, service, food and atmosphere.

Amazing food! I went in to eat for the first time since they opened up. My drink was Old Mountain Mocha Brown Ale, which was a top notch dark beer, and it went great with my food. I ordered the WV steakhouse Burger with Fries. That was a burger to remember. Very flavorful and big burger with the brisket, beer cheese, peppers, and the pickled ramps. Fries were top notch too. This is a must go-to place if you want a banging burger with some good beer. Looking to try more of their menu items in the future.

Great selection of local beers, lots of IPA’s! Oh yeah let’s get to the phenomenal food! My wife had the pot roast, she sd it was a 12/10! Daughter had the meatloaf, she felt the broccoli was still a little crunchy. Actually she and I switched my coleslaw and her broccoli. My meal was brisket, Mac and cheese, and coleslaw. The brisket was good but not great. The banana pudding dessert was far less appealing than the cost. Service was on point. We feel that we got VALUE for our meal. This is a contemporary with pizazz!

Ate here while staying at The Greenbrier. Good food, comfortable atmosphere, attentive service. Affordable. Easy parking. Should’ve tried this place sooner. Every bit of 5 stars. Pot pie, cheeseburger, mac & cheese We’re not vegan but there’s a variety of options for different diets (vegan, gf).

This was our first time here and we LOVED it! Great food, great prices, great atmosphere and our waitress (Laken) was super-friendly and efficient.

I highly recommend the Shrimp and Grits. I also love the Pretzels and Beer Cheese (actual beer cheese). My wife also had the Shrimp and Grits, which she loved, and the Fried Pickles which was pretty good too.

Total price for two appetizers, two main courses and two soft drinks with unlimited refills was $57

We will definitely be back!
