Ordered in the store at The Habit Burger Grill and had my food ready in about 10 minutes—quick and efficient. The place was clean and well organized, and the staff were very friendly and professional. The burgers and sandwiches were delicious, with a good variety of sides to choose from. Visited the Habit Burger & Grill on Geary Rd in Walnut Creek and ordered a Charburger meal. I added cheese and bacon to the burger, which came with fries and a drink. The burger had a great charred flavor, and the crispy bacon and melted cheese made it even better. The fries were nice and crispy too.

The friendly cashier made the experience more enjoyable—we had a quick chat while ordering, which added a nice personal touch. It’s a little pricier than your average burger, but the quality and service make it worth it!

Today, February 9, 2026, around 5:00–5:10 PM, I placed an order that included a kids meal, a drink, and asked for it to go — which is a completely normal request.

However, the cashier wearing black (unfortunately, I couldn’t read her name) responded in a rude and condescending manner and said, in an insinuating tone:

“You want a bag for a kids meal?”

When I answered yes, she angrily tossed the bag toward me. Her body language, aggressive looks, and overall attitude were extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. The restaurant was not busy, and there was absolutely no reason for this kind of behavior.

Questioning a customer’s order or reacting this way to a simple request is completely unacceptable. More than the food itself, what stood out was the disrespectful treatment.

I hope management takes this seriously and provides proper customer service training to their staff.

The lady at the counter was great. Super helpful in processing my coupon and order.
The food was good too. The table was a little messy, but not the end of the world.

My husband and I just had the worst experience from the manager Eldia at the location on Geary and Main. I will give no stars for Service because none are worthy.
We ordered a few chicken salads in which one of them had no chicken. This Manager was the rudest to us. She treated us as if it was our fault that they didn’t include the chicken on the salad. She said we would have to pay extra for the chicken. I said that’s not really a peoblem but you’re treating us like we made the mistake. The enployees made the error, so you are responsible. She told us that she didn’t make an error. We told her it really wasn’t fair, the error was made by an employee. This person never apologized that the error was made and told us she didn’t care if we made a complaint about her. We asked for a refund she told us no. My husband explained to her how her attitude towards us was wrong and we left. So much more than I can tell you happened, but the whole experience left us never wanting to buy food from The Habit again. We will definitely take the issue up the the chain. The problem wasn’t about the money, but the principle, and the terrible attitude. We never raised our voices and never used any profanity while explaining how we felt, but she continued to be rude. Like I said she never even apologized for the mistake even after we mentioned it to her. People with no regard for the customer should not be in management. She was totally unprofessional.

I’ve visited this location a few times with my kids, and each time the staff has been noticeably rude and unwelcoming. Their attitude, especially toward families with children, makes the experience uncomfortable. We were often rushed or given disapproving looks while eating, which is disappointing for a place that should feel family-friendly. I had planned to make this a regular weekly stop, but unfortunately, I won’t be returning unless the staff’s change. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on creating a more positive environment for all customers.

Service was great. The food was mediocre. Fries were lukewarm. Burger looked better than it tasted. We did really like the tempura beans but they didn’t give us very many.

My 1st time going to The Habit. Got an order to go; check out picture of my receipt on bag. Got home to discover that contents of bag doesn’t match my order. I did get their Santa Barbara, which was tasty. Fries were decent, but I did rewarm the two orders in my oven. My order was for a half fries and half onion rings. I didn’t get the burger either, so basically overpaid for an order of one sandwich and two fries vs two sandwiches and half fries/half onion rings due to poor service. No excuse as they were not crowded and over staffed on Dec. 26th. Disappointed after traveling back from Christmas only to discover I got gipped. I should’ve stopped when the other guy waiting inquired about his order because he ordered ahead of me. Poor service resulted in no order readiness for him and my bag with correct receipt, but wrong contents. I’ll be diverting from The Habit in the future due to this bad experience on my first visit.

First time at the Habit and it was very good. I got the Steak sandwich and onion rings with a fountain drink. They have a good selection of burgers and other types of sandwiches. Along with sodas, they also have lemonade and fruitade. It was lunch time, but they got the order out fast. There’s free parking outside and it’s very easy to find with Google maps. I’ll definitely go again to try the burgers or chicken sandwich next time. Give you more soon
