The salmon tasted like it had been sitting out for a while, and considering they were pretty fast with replenishing the supply at the buffet, that tells me that wherever they’re keeping it in the prep area is not suitable. Same goes for the raw meat. I normally like my beef on the rare side, but I not only had to cook everything well done, I had to purposely overcook them a little bit just to get rid of that stale meat taste.
Full disclosure, I did come here a little later in the day, but that doesn’t excuse the staleness of the food they had out in the buffet. And mind you, I was there over an hour before last call. And people were still continuing to arrive, and they were still continuing to put food out at the buffet. So the total lack of freshness in their food is absolutely inexcusable.
The scallops were good though, that’s one bright spot. However, that doesn’t redeem this place by far. If you’re in Hawaii and you feel like you really want yakiniku or kbbq style food, you’re better off going to GEN or Gyu-Kaku. These places are franchises, so while their food may not be excellent, they are at least consistently good. Do yourself and your party a favor: skip this restaurant.
Need to stand in line a few feet apart from another patrons of course & patiently wait to be served by one of the workers.
Majority of the time, there was just one single worker, helping to serve the many, various dishes to patrons.
Felt bad that there was only one worker whom was doing their best to serve various dishes for hungry patrons to choose from.
Went there this past weekend for my birthday brunch.
My daughter & her fiancee had chosen this place to eat.
♀️
Plethora of various sushi, poke, side dishes & cuts of meats & sauces to choose from.
There was also soft drinks & a list of different alcohols to choose from ; which we did not indulge in, especially since their sohu was almost $10/ bottle …
There was 3 kinds of soups & also a Soft Serve Ice cream machine that had vanilla, chocolate or you can combine a mix 2 flavors in.
You put on disposable gloves, to make/serve yourself your flavor(s) of your choice into a small dessert bowl.
Their various types of meats to cook were so/so. ♀️ ♀️ .
I honestly wouldn’t go back there again to eat. Nor would I recommend others to eat there.
Sorry ,folks… ♀️
I’m Just being honest. ♀️
Amazing service and amazing food. Highly recommend it : – )
You can savor a variety of Korean dishes, and additionally, indulge in sushi, sashimi, and poke.
The entire staff is extremely friendly, making the dining experience truly enjoyable.
Be careful to only take from the buffet what you will actually eat. Leaving a lot of leftovers will incur an extra fee. The staff was very kind and attentive, however some of their English isn’t perfect, so please be patient. I would definitely suggest trying this place out!
We were hoping for more selection when it came to the buffet with a $38 price tag.
Customer service was great with doing what they can to keep everyone as safe as possible. Staff places food onto your plate so there isn’t a lot of people handling food & utensils. They are running around behind the buffet counters to assist everyone as quickly as possible.
Note: Lunch prices are cheaper so the selection might differ. They also have other discounts available on certain days. Forgot to take note of them.
Tip: Make a reservation! It can get VERY busy. We made our reservation the morning of, and it was fine.
Lauren: One of my favorites is the crab soup! I get at least 1 bowl when I go.
The macaroni salad is delicious and the meats are marinated well. A great selection of meats, soups, and sides for everyone to choose from.
