Visited Qin Dynasty Restaurant in Parsippany and left feeling pretty mixed. The crab fried rice had zero seasoning or flavor — it was surprisingly bland and not what I expected. The walnut mayo shrimp was also unusual; it was served on a bed of fruits instead of broccoli, which made the overall taste a bit odd. Not terrible, but definitely disappointing for the price and reputation.

Was looking for a good authentic Chinese food in this part of Jersey, and this place clearly delivered. Incredible minced beef soup to start. Then had the fried rice, braised duck with mixed vegetables, and pan-fried flounder. Delicious. The service was good and attentive, though quite pricey, especially the duck ( $38), and there wasn’t much meat, just more vegetables. But the flounder was worth it, $32.95.

Came for the dim sum with my husband and father. We were seated immediately when we arrived. We arrived at around 2:45pm on a Saturday and was told dim sum carts stop at around 2:00. I also heard some else say they stop around 1:30 so I’m not exactly sure. We ended up choosing our dim sum items from a paper menu which was fine but just be aware of the timing if you want the fully Cantonese style cart. Staff was not the most enthusiastic but helpful and attentive. Food came out pretty quickly. Everything we ordered tasted good. Some favorites were the pork steamed buns, custard bun, green sesame ball, and pork soup dumplings. One of our items never came out so we waited a little bit until we finally asked about it. Someone came over and just crossed it off our bill so I guess they ran out. This was our second time dining here. My recommendation is to arrive earlier the first visit to enjoy the full cart experience but it does get crowded at prime time so be prepared to wait a little or be seated with others.

Qin Dynasty is our go-to spot for authentic Cantonese food. Whether we’re craving dim sum or a full seafood dinner, this place never disappoints. The ginger scallion lobster noodles are a must-try—flavorful and perfectly cooked. We also love their casseroles, beef ho fun, and Peking pork. Everything is consistently delicious and served fresh.

Our favorite restaurant for “push cart dimsum” dimsum served using pushcarts only available on weekends, but dimsum can be ordered also during the week during lunch & dinner.Be prepared for a long wait during Sundays, less wait time for seating on Saturdays. During week days they got lunch special $35 for 4 items.Choice of 1 soup & 3 dishes on specified menu. The serving is way more than enough for 2 people, that we often times take the leftovers home.My favorite soup is chicken corn,I love the salt pepper fish fillet, grouper with squash & black fungus, beef with chinese broccoli,Peking porkchop. So many choices in the $35 lunch package menu.

I have been here before and was pleased with the food and service. It was just as good this time. Fast service and so many food choices for any diet. Most of the food is already prepared. You see what it really looks like instead of pictures. Serving sizes always leaves something to take home. In addition to Thanksgiving dinner I had lunch for two days. Prices are reasonable.

A FOODIE’S FIND: OUTSTANDING DIM
SUM, full dim sum served on weekends . I rank this amongst the best Dim Sum restaurants in the country . Dim Sum prices are very affordable,

Go at opening time as tables get filled up quickly.

The restaurant has a great ambience for family / group dining. Service is very efficient and very good.

In addition to dim sum, they have great seafood listing on weekdays, RECOMMENDED is the Chef Special.

Fantastic variety of dim sum: from dumplings to rolls to buns to tarts to braised meats to stews to sautéed vegetables to soups. . Savor the textures and delicate flavors. IT’S HEAVENLY.

To define if a Chinese Cantonese restaurant is authentic, beef chow fun is the key. The beef chow fun here is very good, and I love it. However, the snail with black beans sauce is a bit too salty and the tofu with salty fish and chicken is not as good as expected. Service is very good, we came 45 minutes before the closing time, but still received good service. In addition, you get sweet red bean soup and orange after dinner, which is a plus.

My go-to place for dim sum in the north Jersey area. Busy as usual, especially on holidays. Expect to wait, but easier than a trip into Chinatown. The food was good and the service decent. If you only speak English, you may need to point to items you want since the staff pushing the carts do not speak English well. Fun experience and the food was very hot and fresh.
