Mickey’s is like an old fashioned hot dog/hamburger restaurant with a more modern feel to it. I had initially drove by this thinking it was a sit down restaurant that specialized in ribs because the building gives off fancier vibes than a hole in the wall restaurant normally does.
A pretty standard menu. I asked the young man working the counter what the locals like the most. Not surprisingly, he said ribs and gyros. So I ordered the gyros plate. Its definitely big enough for two (like the wall says) and I could only get about half way through it. The meat wasn’t super juicy and it was just missing something. The Tzatziki sauce was chunkier than I’m used to but it was very tasty and enjoyable. Also enjoyable were the razor thin sliced onions served on the plate. Perfect cut of onion for a gyro.
Gyro plate was served with a boat of fries and the fries too, were very enjoyable. Crinkle cut and lightly fried. They did a nice job with these and they paired well with both Ketchup and the Tzatziki.
After seeing a sign on the wall for a banana milkshake I had to order one. But it was artificial banana flavoring. Tasted exactly like a banana Laffy Taffy. A mild letdown since they advertised the strawberry shake being made with fresh fruit.
Before I write reviews I usually ask myself what I think of the place and my first thought for Mickey’s was “it was okay” which is defined by Google as 3 stars. I would try their ribs if I was ever in the area again though.

We’ve been enjoying Mickey’s in Tinley for 50 years. Literally. We saw them open. This last trip, 3.3.26 was a notably bad experience. Gyro meat was OK but dry, sauce was different and different is not good for mickeys, fries were bland, cheese dip tasted plastic, onions were chemical, like they changed all their recipes in 3 months time.
Sorry to say. Mickeys was always reliable. If they did change, WE NOTICED.

Great food and excellent service! This place has been around for as long as I can remember and I’m middle age. Still the same owners that were running the place when I was just a little girl although they did move to the building next door a few years ago. I would recommend anything on their menu, it’s all fantastic but I’m usually there for their grilled chicken sandwich on a pita and their fried mushrooms!

I went today and had the gyro plate which was ordered online but I enjoyed it there. While I was there I ordered additional items because I enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly service. The food was good, especially the gyro plate. This business makes the food fresh and at the right temp.

The gyros are good, but service is AWFUL . We got there at 7:35 to order food and at 7:58 tge owner intentionally turned the lights off while we were eating in the dark for the last five minutes.. They close at eight, but that is ignorant and they do not appreciate their customers. The kitchen lights were on still why they were cleaning, and the register is being closed, but he intentionally lets his customers sit in the dark. When you ask him about it, he thinks it’s funny. HORRIBLE

Absolutely disgusting. Terrible customer service and attitude. Place has completely gone down hill, staff can’t get an order right for the life of them. I went up to order and once it was received, it was completely wrong and as I asked for my ACTUAL order I only got an eye roll and an awful apology. Even worse, the bathrooms are filthy. Better yet, the talk of the staff is even more disgusting, talking about possible infestations. I am never coming back.

Been meaning to do a review on Mickey’s. One of my favorite places to go. Both the Tinley Park and Frankfort location is great. Very clean facility, staff is always friendly and pleasant. The food is always hot, even on pick-up orders, they are very reasonable on time to complete orders. I can not think of one instance where they have messed up an order and I have visited each location a lot.
My go to meal is the gyros, everything with a side of either chili cheese fries, onion rings or fried mushrooms. I have not had a meal there that disappointed but I do have to give some other options a try.
For a Gyros, this place is tops but the options, are incredible.

The regular gyro and chicken gyros are very good. The food is always fresh and hot- no nasty hard stale pieces of meat like some other places around here. The gyros are big and the fries are huge. This is the only place I will get a gyro. They also have a great chicken salad and I love the spinach pies! I recently tried their burgers too which are also great. I have never been disappointed here.

Great food and service. I tried the hot dog (everything on it), chili and cheese dog, jalapeño poppers, macaroni bites, fries and Oreo shake. All of it was super good. Definitely ate too much
