Amazing food, helpful and friendly staff, and a wide variety to choose from. They have a giant list of sandwiches and salads they also have chips and cookies. The employees were super helpful to me when I told them I had never been there before. I may make this a regular spot to eat when I come through Alamogordo

We found this spot when visiting White Sands NP, and I’m so glad we did!! It was absolutely delicious – the meats, the bread, and the sides. Bonus was the yummy crunchy ice! Everyone LOVED their sandwiches, even the kid who doesn’t like sandwiches. My pastrami Reuben was exactly what I needed after a day out hiking and sledding. Definitely would recommend to everyone!

My men loved their sandwiches. My husband got a pastrami Reuben on sourdough bread. My son got barbecue beef with provolone cheese on sourdough bread. The prices are reasonable. They do not have whole wheat bread here in bun form, but have slices like what you would find at the grocery store in a loaf of bread. They also have marble rye bread. Nothing gluten-free except for salads. The lettuce consist of iceberg lettuce and nothing more. Spinach is not available here either. They also do not have oil or vinegar options for your sandwiches or salads. I found this odd because every sandwich shop I know has this available. When I received my gluten-free avocado and turkey salad, they had two packages of gluten filled crackers inside. If I had celiac disease, that could have sent me to the hospital, but luckily I don’t. So, if you have a strong gluten allergy, be very careful here and let them know. Their meats and cheese selection are top-notch at being boars head brand. The tables, about half of them needed to be cleaned off, including seats. The bathrooms were not filthy, but I wouldn’t consider them clean either. We got here at 11:30 AM.

My favorite here is a large tuna sandwich with lettuce and provolone cheese. I like to eat the sandwich with a mashed avocado that I systematically smear on each bite. I also get a bowl of soup because the soup is also consistently good and tastes homemade. I really hope the soups at Brown Bag are homemade. So many of the franchise sandwich places have factory pre-packaged soups that are in a plastic bag that is boiled in water with the soup in it before serving. I really hope Brown Bag doesn’t do this because it is so unhealthy.

The food was delicious and the selection was great. Quality meat, cheese and bread. For whatever reason I could not hear the girl talking my order at the register, maybe I temporarily lost my hearing or maybe she was mumbling either way she seemed irritated that I asked her to repeat what she said otherwise she was pathetic to costumer service. I’m sure we all have days like that.
Anyway the food was good. I recommend eating her.

Got a medium (8”) #12 and #25 with the works as well as potato salad and wow!!!! The portions are great, the food tastes amazing, and the prices were great! Highly recommend anyone going to white sands or driving through to make the stop here! You won’t be disappointed 🙂
