I’m in town from AZ helping my best friends who just had a baby! I chose this restaurant to get take out and it didn’t disappoint! My friends knew they wanted the French Toast Breakfast Club with both dipping sauces (blueberry and strawberry) but I didn’t know so I asked the hostess, Sophia, and one of the suggestions she made was the Breakfast Quesadillas with Chorizo, I added sausage to it as well, that was incredible with flavor! The avocado toast was also really good! Every time I’m in town I’ll definitely come back here! Thank you Sophia for being awesome, helpful and making the recommendation!

I really like going to New Day Cafe for breakfast foods and caffeine. I’ve gone with my friends and I’ve gone with my family multiple times. Their unsweetened iced tea here is wonderful, and their iced offee drinks are pretty good too! They offer almond milk with the coffee drinks, which I appreciate. Breakfast wise, I really enjoy their pancakes, good grits, good hash browns, and one of my favorites is the breakfast sandwich, on a bagel or croissant, with turkey sausage. I always enjoy my food here. The service is hit or miss with wait times and server attentiveness; some days we’ve had really good service, and some days, the server barely checks in. The atmosphere also depends: some days are really good, and some days are really noisy when it’s busy. Really good food overall though, so we continue to come back

What a gem of a cafe this is! … it’s got that small-town feel, not a chain restaurant feel … no wonder they have a dedicated regular crowd. Always busy. Which is a good thing. The staff is always friendly and attentive. And you can see the cooks hustling in the kitchen and doing their thing! Super yum! Highly recommend.

It’s been awhile since I ate here and it didn’t disappoint! Daughter and I had a great, casual breakfast on a weekend. Steady flow of customers, but wait time was not long at all. Wait staff was friendly and courteous. Food came out on a decent time and was very delicious! This will definitely be a great go to for Breakfast in the future. Outdoor seating as well and super clean bathrooms. Great job! Thank you again!

As I sit here having just finished my Country Fried Chicken and Eggs, I have some critiques.

The Good:
– The location and the layout are nice.
– The wait time was low and the Hostess was friendly. My server was also very friendly and she checked in on me the perfect amount of times.
– The Country Fried Chicken had good seasoning, was crispy and juicy. The gravy was standard.
– The scrambled eggs are thankfully made from REAL eggs and not liquid. They were a little lacking on seasoning and I believe they were cooked in oil which is lame. Also, they were a little overcooked for me. If your eggs are brown, they’re burned.
– The Green Chili was pretty standard. Almost no spice and kinda tasted like it came from a can or jar, not homemade.
– The coffee was good and I appreciate the milk being served in a fancy jug.

The Bad:
– The sourdough toast was very bland.
– The hashbrowns had no flavor. Literally not a dash of salt or pepper. They did have a slight buttery taste but that was not enough. I NEVER reach for the salt and pepper shakers when I sit to eat food and that’s a standard I hold toward restaurants as well. Food should be seasoned when cooked, not after.
– My table was disgustingly dirty. In between the wood panels were old straws, crayons, someone’s fish oil pill, old food, etc. It looks like its been a LONG time since anyone cleaned in there. If they forget your straw you could always grab a backup from the trash in the table.

Unfortunately, New Day Cafe suffers from a lot of the same issues I experience around this city. Average food that lacks seasoning. Would I come here again with my family? Maybe, but probably not. Kudos on the Military discount.

Normally I post of Yelp, but I thought I would create an account and start sharing to Google reviews.
We’ve eaten here before and usually had good experiences, and the restaurant is very clean and not overly busy. However, our most recent visit was disappointing. The food was mostly good though the home fries tasted a little off. The biggest issue was the service. After our order was taken our server, Zenobia, never came back until the bill arrived. It also seemed like it took a while to get attention from staff while other tables were being helped, although most of the servers were sitting at the bar chatting and texting. I would have liked someone to check in on us so I could get different homefries and more coffee. Hopefully this was just an off day, because the place has been good in the past.

The omelets we got were great. The hot chocolate with Bailey’s was an ingenious idea and I loved it. Prices were reasonable. We will be living in the general area, so we’ll definitely be back

Atmosphere, decor and wait staff are all great. Let’s talk about pancakes. Did you know that it’s actually faster and easier to make pancake batter correctly? It should be BARELY combined. Overmixing develops the gluten in the flour and results in the rubbery leather cakes served at this restaurant. I took a video of me failing to cut these with a fork, but it only allows me to upload photos. Unfortunately you’ll need a steak knife if you’re going to order these.

UGH…I ordered the Pork Green Chili as a menu soup, but it was actually their breakfast smother (gravy). A weird mixture of small bits of pork and a corn starch gravy. So disappointed! I wanted a bowl of soup, not a side of gravy. When I brought this to the servers attention, she was not happy with me. I’m sorry for bringing up the obvious (gravy is gravy, not soup).

I changed my order to the chicken tortilla soup. highly recommend!

Side note: the soup didn’t come with Bread, so I ordered a side of tortillas… another big disappointment. Store bought/packaged and not the good stuff. what a missed opportunity.

I wished better for my experience given all the great reviews.

We came in today for Valentine’s day and the place was very busy. We were sat fairly quickly and the server, Abby, was wonderful. She answered all of our questions and was attentive throughout our meal. My wife’s omlette was missing her avocado and our homefries were cold, however Abby was able to rectify all our problem. Would definitely come back for the service alone!
