3 stars is accurate…..it’s ok. Not a lot of options in the area when you’re looking for multiple diet restrictions. If I was passing through again, I’d try something else. Very bland, the lack of seasoning is wild to me in a restaurant with this many reviews.
The staff was great, and accommodating to all our needs. Attentive and helpful. No issues there. Inside is a hybrid of 50s diner and old Long John Silvers hammydowns.

I was excited to try Dandy Burger for the first time, but unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. I ordered a $12 hamburger, hoping for a good balance of flavors, but I could barely find the beef. The frozen patty was overshadowed by an overwhelming amount of green chili, with very little bacon to speak of. For a meal including fries and a drink, the total cost exceeded $15, which felt steep considering the lack of quality and portion balance. Sadly, this visit left me disappointed, and I don’t see myself returning anytime soon.

I’m not going to lie. We came from Albuquerque to try this place out. Well. We were planning to drive way north. But made a detour to go here. And it did not disappoint my hangry self. The burger was great. Like an in-n-out burger. Kind of. Definitely closer to that than anything at McDonald’s or bk or Wendy’s. Anyway. Corn dog was good too.

Wanted a smothered burger, and apparently its never been ordered here before. They built me a burger, then poured the most bland/bitter red chile right on top of the bun. If it wasn’t for the small burger patty, it wouldn’t of been the slightest bit enjoyable. Also, my fiance ordered a Tiwa Taco and we got Chili Fries instead. Maybe we needed to speak up? Other than that, the atmosphere was clean and nice and bright.

Dandy’s Burger is a family-owned restaurant that has been serving the area for over 37 years. They are known for their famous burger and homemade chili. They also offer breakfast burritos, Mexican food, quesadilla, chicken strips, enchilada dinner, chili fries, tostada and so much more.
I got a Jungle Jim and my wife ordered a Jungle Jane. Both were amazing. The meat patties were large, not like your typical big-name hamburger joints. They were not cheap with the toppings, there were plenty, enough to fill a high school football player! The burgers also came with an order of fries. They also are large and very tasty. He hadn’t eaten there in quite a while, but I’m sure we will be coming back again. The whole place has been redone by new owners, and it looks nice and clean with a relaxing theme.
I highly recommend this eatery. The service is good, the employees are friendly and the food it great. One of the best burger places in town.

Wow, wonderful turnaround with the new owner! Found my state’s plate, too. Everything seemed clean and bright. The food was really delicious, and the prices were reasonable. If it’s your thing, the onion rings are a must-try! Husband had his former (and still favorite) chicharron burrito, and I had chicken tacos, delicious!! We’ll definitely be back!
