“Incredible food, peaceful river views, and a perfect family dining spot”
We stopped at The River & Sandbar for a late lunch while staying in a nearby cabin on the White River — and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Everything about this place feels special: the view, the food, and the calm atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while.
I ordered the crab cakes and they were excellent — golden and crisp on the outside, tender and flavorful inside, with a sauce that tied everything together beautifully. The Caesar salad was fresh, crisp, and well-balanced with just the right amount of dressing and crunch from the croutons. And the peanut butter pie/cheesecake was the perfect finish — rich, creamy, and full of that classic peanut butter flavor without being too sweet.
The location is unbeatable. The dining room overlooks the White River, and the outdoor seating area gives you a front-row view of the water. Watching boats go by and seeing the sunlight reflecting off the river while eating a great meal made it a peaceful, memorable experience for our family.
Service was friendly and relaxed — the kind of genuine hospitality that fits perfectly with the setting. It’s clear the team here takes pride in both the food and the atmosphere they’ve built.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday at The River and Sandbar in Batesville Ar, and it was a wonderful experience! The place is very nice, cozy, and clean, with a beautiful view of the river that made the afternoon even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, and our server was very attentive and friendly. We even received a free dessert for my husband’s birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch. Highly recommend this place for great food, great service, and a great atmosphere!

My husband’s favorite meal here is the hamburger steak, and I love their cheeseburger! Be sure to ask them NOT to use the press! We normally sit at the bar, and we’ve decided that we like going during the week instead of on Friday or Saturday night. Kalie was our bartender, and she was AMAZING!

We arrived at 4:44pm on a Friday. We had a mid size party 9 adults. To start the experience in and they first red flag they could not tell us how long of a wait time. We said ok and waited. As time went on large groups came in some said they would wait while others moved on. I notice that a large group which seamed to be a privet room event which i understand no issues as it is that time of year.however the leader of that group said they hated to ask but they needed to add 10 more people. At this time they said that they had a table for us but now the kitchen needed to catch up. Apparently, the add on in the privet group now had to make time for the kitchen to accommodate. We hung in as we at this time had been waiting 50 minutes. Again the privet party came out and asked for another accommodation. In the span of 75 minutes 5 large groups at least 6 to 12 came in and then walked out. You lost way more business and money by accommodating what was to be only 25 people. Wile 60 people waited and then walk out. The red flag is that your host could not calculate wait times. Had she been up front with wait times and not extended the unknown amount of wait time. I would have been able to make a informed choice to wait or move on as well as the other 60 people that also walked out.

We placed a to go order for deep fried mushrooms and got 1 order of buttons and 1 stems. I had never tried the stemS but my husband and I both were instantly in love! The taste was spectacular, thEy seemed to melt in our mouths and we got Full trays. We have gotten orders since and they are consistently wonderful!

My husband, our child and I had a wonderful experience here! Food was great, the waittress was awesome and the view is amazing. Prices were a tad bit more than what I typically see but I suspect it is because of the proximity to the river. I got the half order of the penne pasta with shrimp and it filled me up and tasted great! Both my husband and our child loved their food. If you have room for dessert, I highly recommend the cheesecake. Great place for food and I would definitely recommend.

Showing a beautiful home in Batesville today and ate here. The atmosphere was wonderful, loved the view of the river. Food was delicious. Sweet tea was great. Ordered a half order of Cajun pasta with shrimp . I could only eat a portion of it, if hate to see what a full order looks like! I would definitely recommend it. Hubby had the fish dinner and he said it was really good. Didn’t get a picture of it. A lot of food!

It’s a steak and seafood restaurant that has live music on weekends and lots of tables and a patio that overlook the White River. Prices run between $10-$30 depending on what type of steak or seafood you choose. It was little crowded at first when we arrived at seven pm and they have a bar and drinks speciaesl for each night. The place where the hostess sat us was towards the back and had poor lighting and I had to use the flashlight on my phone in order to see the menu little dark in the back of the restaurant. Food is cooked to your choice of steaks and our meals were in the price range of $73 for the both of us.

My wife and I went there and had a really nice time! From being out-of-town we wanted to experience someplace local. The staff was friendly, the burgers and drinks were good, and our bill was just over $50 w/drinks! The interior was very open and easy to walk around. They could easily fit more tables/chairs if they needed to.
The only suggestion I would make, not a negative but more of an observation, we would have sat outside but there wasn’t a whole lot of lighting. The string lights that was used inside would have been adequate for the outdoor seating area.
