After having a lackluster experience at another Cuban cafe, I came to Pinecrest. So glad I did. I ordered the cafe con leche and it was absolutely perfect. And the price is right on point. Not over priced at all.
I also ordered a couple of guava and cream cheese puff pastries and they were excellent as well. You can taste the quality of the ingredients. They are not reinventing the wheel, they’re perfecting it. Excellent service, excellent product. Highly recommend.

This place is Fantastic! Best espresso I’ve ever had in my life! It was so smooth and flavorful. I also had the Pan Con Tortilla and a pastry with coconut. They were both phenomenal! The pastry was crisp and baked to perfection. The pan con tortilla was a good size and perfect for breakfast. I would give this place 1000 stars if I could.

I’m a loyal customer of Pinecrest Bakery, but I have to say the Miami Beach location is my favorite. Jennifer always makes the best café con leche, and Alieranne never fails to brighten my day with her warm smile and charming service. She truly makes sure every customer gets the best experience. Thank you Mami beach Pinecrest Bakery

⭐ 1-Star Review: Pinecrest Bakery – South Beach Location
An Embarrassing and Unprofessional Experience

I’m a long-time local resident, and although I don’t buy cakes very often, the South Beach Pinecrest Bakery used to be a place I trusted when I needed something special. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was one of the most embarrassing, frustrating, and unprofessional experiences I’ve ever had in a bakery.

I came in to buy a cake for my boss, who is leaving, and right away I noticed something was off. The cakes I used to purchase are now noticeably smaller, yet the prices have increased. I had a simple, reasonable question:
Why are the cakes smaller now if the prices are going up?

When I approached the employee, she couldn’t answer — because she didn’t speak any English. Instead of offering help, calling a manager, or trying to communicate in any professional way, she pulled another customer from the store to translate my question from English to Spanish. Even with the customer’s help, she still couldn’t explain the change in cake size.

The entire situation was chaotic, uncomfortable, and honestly shocking. In a major business located in South Beach, one of the most international and tourist-heavy areas of Miami, it is unacceptable to have staff who cannot communicate in basic English — especially when dealing with customers.

It’s not just about the cake size. It’s about communication.
We all come from different countries — I did too. I learned English myself because I knew it was essential for life, work, and growth in the United States. If I can learn English, then employees working in a customer-facing role should also be able to communicate with customers at a basic level.

To be honest, I would have walked out without buying anything because the entire experience felt unprofessional and embarrassing. But I urgently needed a cake for my boss, so I had no choice but to purchase the cake and leave.

Even though I bought it, the experience left such a strong negative impression that I can confidently say:
I will never return to the South Beach Pinecrest Bakery again.

Shrinking product sizes, higher prices, complete lack of communication, and staff who are unprepared to serve customers — this is absolutely unacceptable for a business in this area. I am extremely disappointed as a long-time local customer.

Didn’t know this was a franchise as we always pass the 1 along the way to key west. Stopp in this afternoon and had the fattest cuban ive ever seen. A ton of ham and it was delicious. Cafe con leche was pure perfection. Staff was friendly and quick.

Honestly, this was the worst pandebono I’ve ever tried in my life. I can’t even say I ate it, I returned it to the girl who sold it to me, telling her it was hard as a rock. She simply said, “that’s what came in today.” Totally disappointing. Avoid this place if you can. And the smell of the place … was absolutely disgusting

The passion fruit cheesecake was absolutely delicious — perfectly balanced between sweet and tangy, very fresh and creamy. On top of that, the service from Camilo was outstanding. He was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. Highly recommended, I will definitely come back!

The absolute WORST Cuban bakery experience I’ve ever had. The lady at the counter was extremely rude!!!! It was noon and she would not sell me orange juice because she had to get the machine started and said I would have to wait more at least 15 mins. The place was practically empty and the croquetas were not fresh not to mention they don’t offer lemons for the croquetas or water to clean your pallet after coffee. Communist Cuba bakery there. DONT GO THERE. I called to get the lady’s name and she hung up on me and refused to give me her name. Sad experience on 305 day at noon. Awful
