An abysmal experience at this establishment!

We ordered chicken biryani, biryani rice, chole bhature. Only reason we didnt order more was because they didnt have anything else available due to proclaimed shortage of staff. The prices looked exorbitant but we ordered regardless as we expected the portion sizes to be reflective of the price. However, this was far from the truth.

The bowl of biryani we received was smaller than my palm and could barely serve one person for the price of GEL 21.6 as of Oct 2025 and it was made in a way that tasted more of like a curry mixed with boiled rice and chicken than biryani where the rice and chicken is cooked together.

The chick peas in the chole were almost raw and it felt that the chick peas were not soaked for enough time hence felt them crumbling in my mouth rather than the soft texture as it is supposed to have.

The bhatura was rolled into thick dough and the inside was neither cooked nor was it fluffy as you would expect of a bhatura.

The ambience is decent and you get private booths which is a plus. The wait staff is great and helpful. However, the management looked resentful of my feedback that I provided and it seems that it has fallen on deaf ears.

If you are in Tblisi and absolutely have no other option for a halal meal, its only under those conditions I would recommend anyone this place.

I had the chance to visit ‘Taste of India’ a few months ago while I was in Georgia, and it turned out to be a really enjoyable experience. The food was authentic and full of flavor, beautifully presented, and the portions were generous without being overpriced. You could really taste the richness of traditional Indian cooking in every dish.

Inside, the place feels warm and inviting, perfect for a laid-back meal. While the exterior looks a bit old fashioned, the interior is clean and well kept. All in all, it’s a great spot to try Indian food in Georgia, and I would definitely recommend it.

Honestly, samosa was only thing we actually did like in the restaurant. Naan is naan, pea soup is bitter, palak paneer with rice was bland, sweet lassi is basically kefir/matsoni with sugar. Waste of money sadly, couldn’t eat pea soup at all

Ordered the chicken tikka masala, garlic nann, and zerra rice.

The chicken tikka masala and was good, but not great; I would say 6.5/10.

The garlic naan however was very good, I would say 7.5/10.

Only real “downside” was it was a little more expensive than some of the local competition in the area.

I had a very good experience at Taste of India. The restaurant is clean with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Before coming here, I had tried another South Indian restaurant nearby which was extremely disappointing – but this place was a pleasant surprise! This restaurant is 200m away from episode hotel.

I initially ordered Indian tea and samosas. Even the way they served it reflected the quality and care they put into their food. After this good first experience, I came back again in the evening and tried the biryani and fried chicken – both were quite good as well.

In comparison to other Indian restaurants in the area, this is definitely one of the best. I noticed some manipulated negative reviews online, which honestly don’t match my experience here. The food tastes fresh, prices are very pocket-friendly, and the service was polite.

One small point to mention – it took about 15-20 minutes to get our tea and samosas served. But apart from that, everything else was really good.

Highly recommend this place if you are looking for good Indian food in the area!

I received some of the best service at this restaurant. Their peanut masala and dal fry are a must-try.

We recently dined at Taste of India (Simon Kandelak) and I have to say this place has undergone an incredible transformation that’s turned it into a 5-star gem! If you’ve read some older reviews complaining about cramped seating or a cheap interior, you’ll be pleasantly surprised – the atmosphere is now incredibly welcoming, with cozy, spacious arrangements that make you feel right at home, whether you’re with family or friends. No more feeling claustrophobic; it’s warm, well-decorated, and exudes that authentic Indian charm without any of the past discomforts.

The staff? Absolutely excellent – attentive, friendly, and quick to recommend dishes based on your preferences. Gone are the days of slow service or lapses in attention mentioned in some previous feedback; our orders arrived promptly, and the team went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. As for the food, it’s top-notch and consistently delicious now. I’ve seen complaints about inconsistent flavors, bland dishes, or even super spicy surprises in older reviews, but everything we tried was perfectly balanced, fresh, and bursting with authentic Indian spices. The butter chicken was creamy and flavorful without overwhelming heat, the paneer sabji was a standout with its rich, well-seasoned sauce, and the naan was soft, garlicky perfection – portions are generous too, countering any past gripes about small sizes. Even the mango lassi was refreshingly smooth and not overly sour, as some had noted before.

On pricing, while a few past reviewers called it unreasonable compared to local spots, it’s now fantastic value for the quality – especially with student discounts and reasonable portions that leave you satisfied without breaking the bank. Something has clearly changed here, all for the positive: better management, refined recipes, and an overall elevated experience that makes it the best Indian spot in Tbilisi. Highly recommend – we’ll be back soon! 5/5 stars.

A very pleasant restaurant with outstanding food, including a good vegan range, staff happy to advise on ingredients and make changes to taste. All food was fresh, well spiced and nicely presented. Finding a good Indian restaurant isn’t easy but this is one.

Probably the worst Indian food experience in my life. To kick it off, more than 1.5 hours of wait for you to get your food and then it arrives cold in the smallest portions ever. Honestly, ordered 3 dishes and still walked away dissatisfied. Cherry on top, the guy asks me how was your experience and I replied not good and he continues how would you like to pay lol.
– Chicken Biryani: small portion, tasteless
– Chicken Karahi: more onion than chicken, tasteless
– Non veg Kathi roll: only thing with some taste due to the side of chatni
