A truly hidden gem. This diner was amazing from the staff, to the environment, to the food. When we entered the diner we were instantly welcomed by the many servers. Our server Nate was by far the best server we have ever had. He was extremely friendly and super attentive. The restaurant was extremely clean. The food was exceptionally fresh and delicious. I would recommend the broasted chicken and mac and cheese. The pork and sauerkraut was also very good. Prices are comparable to other diners in the area. Highly recommend and we will be back!!

Have been here many times over the years. Great food, fast service. My main reason for leaving a review is because my 8 year old son accidentally left a nintendo switch game cartridge on the table when we were eating there. We didn’t realize it until a week and a half later, when we thought back to the last time he remembered having it. I called into the restaurant, figuring it had probably been thrown away when the table was cleared without being noticed. I was so surprised when they said they had found it, and still had it for him!! Honest, helpful people!!! Hes so happy and Im so thankful for their caring hearts!

Service was excellent, the food was meh. Hard to screw up breakfast but the kitchen did. Eggs over light, homefries, toast and scrapple. Scrapple tasted undone maybe. Have never disliked scrapple that I recall. My order was exact and the server did an excellent job. The food definitely needs improvement in my opinion.

It’s been a long time since I stopped in here-trying to support the local economy with takeout in the heat of summer-
First- I came here because several years ago, when I was organizing “empty bowls” for the gleaning project, without more than a quick explanation, Stella the owner agreed to contribute to the fundraiser- they donated so much food for the fundraiser, and I remembered that –
Second, I called in to place my order- the young man in the phone was so patient and kind in taking my order and thorough- find that in a lot of places today!
My order was ready when I got there- it was correct and packaged perfectly for the ride home- in a heavy duty box- the ice cream did not make it past the boys in the back seat but the rest of the dinner did- when I went to leave, I looked around- many couples eating in the early afternoon- the front staff greeting them by name, telling them their booths may not be available but they would get them situated at another- not too many places when you go out to eat that the staff recall your name. It impressed me and made me think of the restaurants I used to go to where I grew up-they are not simply serving up food, they are an active part of the community-whistle stop cafe anyone?
If you want up a nice serving of manners, patience, nostalgia and some American restaurant food, the experience did not disappoint. Five stars and over for a restaurant owner donating to a cause right off the bat without any contacts within the organization- everyone likes their forms and documents- Stella contributed because she liked the idea of what we were doing and supported it- one turn deserves another, we need to make a point to visit more often

It’s been years since my wife and I ate here. First of all, calling to obtain lunch specials was atrocious. The staff was so obnoxious and rude on the phone. So many uh’s and duh’s. Just clueless!!
The tenderloin was sour. Yes, sour! Why??? The filling was literally just wet croutons. Why? The corn had no flavor. Just a can of corn from a bend and dent store with no flavor or seasoning. That was my wife’s meal. It was awful. Hospital food is better than that. The gravy was just flour and pepper. Why?
Now, my broiled salmon was decent, not disgusting but not great either. However, the broccoli was freezer burned. Why?
34 bucks down the drain. We will never come back again. Horrific experience!!!

I was there the day they were serving chicken pot pie. For the price (which was great) and the amount of food I received. I took home enough food to have dinner that night. I’ve never ate anywhere where I got that much pot pie in bowl. Definitely worth it.

Found this gem with the help of Google maps while passing through PA.
Food was fantastic and reasonably priced.
Service was fast and friendly.
My only regret is that I live so far away.

We like to try local restaurants when in the area. This restaurant was a little disappointing. The mashed potatoes were made from a mix, the chicken gravy was made from chicken broth(we are used to a white creamy gravy.) Rolls were store bought and cold. We had a hamburger steak which looked very unappealing but tasted okay. The prices are very good and my guess is using prepackaged foods saves money. The restaurant was clean and well kept inside, the waitresses were nice and the prices were great! We expected more home cooked food is why the lower score. It is a popular local restaurant.

Service was good (but why did the guy who took our drinks order (for coffee!) not bring it?) Food was good, also. My second time here. Only four stars instead of five because they insist on having a TV on. Which likely won’t last real long as it’s mounted over the heat lamps….
