One of the coolest restaurants I been in the last couple of months. It’s owned and run by locals/community and is based of there story. The food was delicious and nicely presented. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The selection of food was way to much to decide. In the end I stated with a salad and something on the side.
There was live music so a bit hard to talk, but I liked it a lot.
Go there! Definitely recommend it.

Great food and great service. All of our food was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was excellent and they were very friendly. They even offered us a free dessert that was like a warm gooey banana bread. The only negative was somewhat annoying house music. Other than that is was great and we’ll be adding this to our list of regular spots.

They support local communities and source special ingredients. While the menu has some common food items, the highlights are definitely the locally inspired dishes, using local ingredients. I had the recommended beef, which was fantastic, an interestingly, uniquely spiced sauce and the soup, based on green vegetables. Excellent food, excellent service, excellent social engagement.

During my few months in San Cristobal, I was fortunate to try this wonderful restaurant early and it has become a go-to place. Their enchiladas and mole are fantastic; the salads are super fresh and delicious; the bread and hot sauces are excellent; the caldos and tortillas se also great; and they make excellent cocktails and have several varieties of pox and mezcal. The service is top notch, the vibe is chill and the food is fantastic. Highly recommend.

Some are favorite coffee we found in San Cristóbal. Many of the combinations are on the sweet side, but well balanced for excellent treat. I think cardamon was the best. The food was also great, but for me the highlight was fancy coffee mixtures.

Since we really enjoyed it we returned to have breakfast and dinner at Taniperla.
Both times we had classic Mexican dishes, which were often made even tastier by small changes. Great selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, as a starter there is bread with different salsa. Nice ambiance and attentive staff.

We had a good light lunch here, chicken enchiladas and sopa azteca.

I can’t tell you how special this place is, so just go. Regional, home cooked meals plus international dishes. Plus ancestral (legit) mezcal and cocktails. Super chill. Just go.

Please visit this restaurant!!
After 2 weeks of not having a proper diner (a Gringo after all ;-), I found this place on Google maps. The food was amazing! I tried the enchiladas rellenas de pollo and the cevice de champignones. Accompanied by a delicious Margarita. It was superb!! It was too much for one person so I asked for a takeaway. No problem! Staff was very friendly and the service was excellent! Didn’ t have to wait. This restaurant deserves your visit!
