We were sat outside. The weather perfect in January. They had heaters in case it got cold, but they weren’t needed that day.
There is a club down the street that had very loud bass music that was thundering the entire time. That was a little annoying, but nothing the restaurant could do anything about. There were also cars driving by with music so loud that we couldn’t hear one another. Oh well. What are you going to do about inconsiderate people? Just a heads up to expect that if you’re sitting outside.
We ordered the burrata and the pear and cheese fiocchi for our appetizers. They were absolutely delicious! I would love to try all of the appetizers! The calamari, the meatballs, the black truffle arancini… For our dinners I ordered the fig jam and bacon pizza. My friends both ordered the Bucatini Carbonara. We tried one another’s food and we all loved everything! We all brought home leftovers. We shared the tiramisu for dessert. It was perfect! Not too strong of a coffee taste, or too sweet.
We live down in Miami, but I’m looking for an excuse to go up there again and try more things on the menu.
My bill was $44 before tip. Our waiter was very nice, friendly and attentive.
The best part? They surprised me with free cannolis in my order, which was such a cool and unexpected touch. Stuff like that really shows they care about their customers.
Ordering online was super simple, and picking up in person was quick and easy. The staff was really friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself has this small, cozy vibe that fits perfectly in the middle of downtown Fort Lauderdale.
If you’re looking for really good pizza or legit Italian food, I’d definitely recommend checking this place out. I’m already looking forward to going back.
On multiple Tuesday evenings when the restaurant appeared nearly empty, we were repeatedly asked if we had a reservation. When we said no, we were either made to wait while being told empty tables were “reserved,” or told there was no availability at all. On one visit, we waited over 30 minutes while several tables remained empty the entire time, only to eventually be seated at a table that had been open since we arrived.
Before our most recent visit, we tried to make a reservation online and found that every weeknight showed no availability from 4:15–7:15pm. When we arrived in person at 5:35pm on a Tuesday, the restaurant was still empty. We were told we could only sit outside (in cold weather) or at the bar. When we hesitated, the owner even suggested we “go somewhere else,” which felt very unwelcoming. After briefly viewing the bar area, we could clearly see many empty tables inside.
We completely understand restaurants prioritizing reservations, but the disconnect between what the reservation system shows and the reality of an empty dining room — along with the dismissive interactions — made us feel unwelcome. It’s a shame, because the meals we did have there in the past were excellent. We hope the customer experience improves, as the food deserves it.
The entire place felt like a little slice of Italy — from the vintage decor and brick walls to the stylish bar and cozy outdoor seating under red umbrellas. The vibe was warm, relaxed, and beautiful.
Highly recommend for anyone who loves great Italian food and a great atmosphere!
Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared, balancing taste and freshness in every bite. The inviting atmosphere and attentive service only add to the experience, making it a place you’ll want to return to again and again. If you’re looking for a restaurant that combines excellent food with genuine hospitality, Pizza Craft is definitely worth a visit.
