We had such a lovely experience here. Our server, John, was genuinely wonderful. He was both friendly and perfectly attentive.
We started with the Steak Tartare and the wedge salad, both of which were outstanding. The flavors were clean, balanced, and just really well done. The salmon that followed was cooked perfectly and came with silky mashed potatoes and beautifully prepared broccolini that pulled the whole dish together.
Overall, it was one of those meals that just made you close your eyes and consider the flavor. Delicious food, fantastic service, and an easy, welcoming atmosphere.
Absolutely a 10/10 and would enthusiastically recommend dining here while in Breck.

Our first time Celebrating Christmas Eve dinner at a restaurant. Everything was great . It’s a small restaurant but very nice, the service was great our server took her time to go over the menu and since it was 11 of us she suggested family portion side orders which was a great idea. The food was delicious, I ordered the soup of the day and omg I loved it. Overall we enjoyed our dinner it was worth the price . I do recommend to book in advance especially if it’s during Christmas season and if you have a large group.

We got to the place and you are immediate received by the front waiter. They take your jackets if you want and then seat you at your table. The restaurant is very small but feels cozy and private at the same time. They have a wide variety of steaks. We ordered most of them but the skirt steak was out of stock which was a bummer. I personally ordered the filet mignon which was amazing. Make sure to order the mushrooms and peppercorn sauces to go on top makes the steak 10x better. All the sides were delicious as well. Service was amazing. And prices for quality and experience were great as well. Would def be coming can to Briar Rose Chophouse

The people were nice but we felt a bit uncomfortable and that’s all I’ll have to say about our visit as far as the service and atmosphere. The food was good no complaints other than my fish was cooked a little too dry but it had a overall decent taste. I recommend this place definitely not giving it a negative review but I would not probably ever visit it again only based on the feelings that I felt in the restaurant. When in town I do recommend you give it a try your experience maybe totally different than ours

I really want to give this place a higher rating as our initial waiter. Mason, was great. However, my 50th birthday dinner felt like a huge bother to what I can only compare to anyone’s aunt at a holiday home dinner picking up plates and making you feel like you’re not welcome anymore. Other guest had just started to receive dinner plates, so it’s not like we were keeping people as the last folks there. All in all, nice place but don’t take a later reservation if offered and it’s an important celebration. You won’t leave feeling at all special.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for over 15 years, and it has always been one of my absolute favorites. That’s why this recent visit was especially disappointing.
Service felt noticeably off from the start. We weren’t asked whether we preferred bottled or tap water, and overall the attentiveness just wasn’t there. Our steak was ordered medium but arrived well done. When it was sent back, the replacement was cooked correctly, but unfortunately it was extremely bland and lacked any real flavor. We also had to remind our server about the sauce that was supposed to accompany the steak.
The only time service felt particularly attentive was when it came time for the check.
On a positive note, the lobster was excellent — perfectly cooked and truly the highlight of the evening. Unfortunately, the specialty cocktails were disappointing, and a glass of wine we ordered tasted spoiled.

Best meal and service we’ve had in a long time. Michael Z was an excellent server- friendly, informative and helpful. Ribeye was very good. Escargot was sublime with soft and crusty bread. Sides of broccolini and thin cut Parmesan fries were good and plentiful. Skirt steak was good but could do with a little less salt and seasonings. Meats were so good they didn’t need the sauces and toppings. Chocolate cake was a rare blend of good looking AND tasty. Will be back again.

We had the pleasure of dining at Briar Rose for an impromptu dinner while staying at Breckenridge. We grabbed a quick spot at the bar and had phenomenal service and recommendations from Dan. The Elk Medalions were absolutely worth the try! While dining, we met Mason and Soren who also work there. They made us feel welcome and helped provide the best environment for our dining experience. Highly recommend!

Wow is all I can say. We sat in the bar area and our waiter and waitress were fantastic. The food recommendations were spot on and every dish was better than the last. We got the wild game app, crab cake app, lamb, and the root au gratin. All were amazing !! Kris was one of our waitresses (I wish I remembered our waiters name). Not only was the drinks and food delicious, the service we received from our two staff members were stellar. My husband’s birthday was topped off with the most amazing carrot cake. Thank you again for making our celebration special.

I am extremely disappointed with this experience. We booked this reservation months in advance as part of our trip to Breckenridge and were very excited to dine here. Due to our party size, we were seated in the bar area, which would have been fine if the service had matched the price and reputation of the restaurant.
Our plates were not cleared, and there were crumbs left all over the table from the bread. I eventually had to ask for the table to be cleaned. It was incredibly disappointing to spend a significant amount of money and feel completely overlooked.
While the food itself was good, the service was very disappointing — especially for such an expensive restaurant. We did not feel valued or worth the price we paid at all. This is definitely not a place we will be returning to. If you are considering this restaurant as a final stop on your vacation, I would strongly advise against it.
