The place had some amazing food. We ordered mostly on the thai side and it was delicious. Definitely recommend all the noodles and the rice. We ordered fried vegetables separately and mixed it in with the rice to make it taste even better. The only thing I hope they improve on is service. We had to call the servers over to our table every time because they were buried in their cellphones doing god knows what. We would have walked out without paying and they would have never know.

I loved the food, got the mixed grill and paneer tikka which was perfect level of spicy. Got the masala lemon soda -so delicious, and had the dessert -rasmalai which was soooo yummy!! The service was also great, they were very kind. I want to come back again!

I have indian boyfriend and both of us come from south bay in cali. We’ve tried so many Indian places but this is the best in the US. Our favorite is malai chicken tikka and garlic nan and both are exceptionally good every time we order. Masala soda is good and their rasmalai is a must to go. The food was good.. more on the salty side.. I think it’s a great buffet.. it doesn’t taste particularly salty when eating it but my body feels it afterwards.. I think it’s a good value $20 buffet + tip.

My friends and I recently visited this wonderful place and were truly impressed. The food was exceptional, with the Raj Kachori and Tandoori Shrimp stealing the show – absolutely spot-on flavors! We also tried the Veg Jalfrezi and Indian-style chicken paired with naan bread, and every bite was delightful. The taste and quality exceeded our expectations.
However, there was a minor hiccup with the service. We had to wave our hands to get attention for placing our order, which felt a bit awkward. Despite this, the staff was incredibly polite and generous, making up for the initial inconvenience.
As for drinks, I tried the Virgin Pina Colada, and it instantly became my favorite – highly recommended! To end our meal, we ordered the lava cake. While it was decent, it didn’t quite match the excellence of the main dishes and drinks.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience, and I’d gladly recommend this place to friends and plan to visit again. That said, I’d like some clarity on why gratuity was automatically applied to our bill. From my understanding, gratuity is only added for groups of more than four, and we were just four friends. I’d appreciate a response from the owner on this matter.

AMAZING FOOD
You can tell they cook with love at this lovely restaurant.
The waiters and staff are so friendly and it was nice to chat with them about their lovely food.
We did the buffet option and MY GOD, every single dish was amazing. Food was fresh, tasty and yummy. Even the desert I wanted to keep eating.
Will definitively come back to try the goat one day.

We were back to Swadist but this time, we dined in. The restaurant is very nice and has planty of seats.
We ordered Pepper Lamb for appetizer. The meat was very tender and the sauce was amazing. We then had Butter Chicken Desi Style and Goat Laas Maal for entrees which we paired with Garlic Naan. The Naans were super crispy and garlicky. They went well with every dishes. The chicken and goat were both very tender. They were cooked perfectly. We loved their sauces a lot, which we had to order another order of Naan to dip in the sauce. The Laas Maal is a must-have. It was spicy and flavorful.
We have no negative feeling about the restaurant at all. However, we think the portions was getting smaller compared to when we ordered to take out.
The host was very friendly and attentive. She checked up on us regularly and helped us to choose our foods.
The ambience was warm and cozy.

Great northern Indian restaurant in Jersey City , NJ. 5 minutes walk from JSQ PATH station. Service is great but hygiene needs to be improved.It’s spicy. Kebab platter is big & delicious. Parking is on the street, Use @ParkMobile app to pay… free street parking is available at a distance but hard to get.
