If you love chocolate, you have to try MarieBelle’s hot chocolate. Non-negotiable! Offered in three flavors: dark, milk and the spiced hot chocolate. The hot flavor has the perfect kick, just the right amount of spice to keep things exciting, not too strong, not too weak.

You will need to make a reservation at least a month or two in advance, if you’d like to have a seated experience in their salon. The shop itself is a confection in its own right, like a chocolate truffle: shiny, beautifully adorned, indulging and absolutely unforgettable. You won’t regret the visit!

Tried the small Aztec hot chocolate, flavor was good, though $8 for a small cup feels a bit pricey. Dine-in requires a reservation. The store itself is very cute, they sell a nice variety of chocolates, and the staff friendly. Would like to come back and try other hot chocolate flavors.

Such a lovely spot! I had their Aztec-style hot chocolate, and it was absolutely delicious — rich, smooth, and comforting. The service is sincere and kind, and I really appreciate that they let you take your time to enjoy without any rush or pressure to leave. The decor is classy and elegant, especially during the Christmas season — so festive and cozy! I came here solo and felt completely comfortable and relaxed. A perfect place to unwind in SoHo.

This wasn’t my first time visiting this delightful cafe. It’s a kingdom of chocolate and cocoa! You feel like you’re inside a jewel box. A friendly waiter immediately brings you a tiny glass of cocoa, which you can sample while you read the menu. Everything was delicious – the cocoa, the quiche, and the pastries. The waiters are very polite and efficient. You can buy chocolate and candies in the front part of the establishment.

serendipitous turn of events
I must say the experience was amazing here . Johnny the trouble maker was knowledgeable about chocolate and gave recommendations on what to order . Most of the chocolate drinks are 66% -68% of real cacao . Did you know that they import chocolate from Honduras , Columbia and Ecuador .The dark chocolate drink I ordered wasn’t sweet but the whipped cream balanced the flavor . You can definitely taste the richness of the cacao. We ordered the chocolate lava cake . The richness of the chocolate dessert went well with the vanilla cream and strawberries, the flavors complemented well with each other . I’m going to come here again with my mother next time .

Had the best experience at MarieBelle! The server was not only super friendly but also helpful and knowledgeable about the different chocolate delicacies. The place itself was absolutely beautiful. We got the Aztec dark hot chocolate and the ground hazelnut milk hot chocolate, both of which are flavorful. A solid spot for hot chocolate in NYC.

Café MarieBelle is pure magic. I stopped in for hot chocolate and it was absolutely delightful—rich, decadent, and perfectly comforting. The lava cake and raspberry tart were equally delicious and beautifully done. The setting is stunning, elegant, and warm, making it the perfect place to linger.

The service truly made the experience exceptional. John was incredible—attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming. He went above and beyond, even taking a photo with us and surprising us with a complimentary macaron sample, which was such a thoughtful touch.

A flawless experience from start to finish. I will most definitely be back. Thank you, John!

So whimsical—and almost presidential-looking—inside! My friend and I felt like we were in a holiday movie.

The milk chocolate hot chocolate was rich and delicious, and every drink we tried was excellent (the menu is great!). I added a shot of espresso to mine, and the staff was incredibly kind and meticulous with every detail. Even the whipped cream presentation was beautiful.

I especially want to praise the staff for answering a question from my guest and me. Then, without being asked, bringing over extra hot chocolate to make sure my drink was dark enough to my liking.

Such a charming café, and the gift shop is filled with beautiful gifts and packaging to browse. A wonderful spot in a cute part of NYC—thank you to the staff for such a lovely experience!

MarieBelle Tea Time is a memorable experience. It is the kind of place where you want to slow down, savor each bite, and enjoy the moment. From the moment you’re seated, the experience feels thoughtful and unhurried—but what truly makes it unforgettable is the service. Our server, Johnny, was an absolute standout. You can immediately tell that he genuinely enjoys what he does. His enthusiasm is effortless, his knowledge is impressive, and his attention to detail makes you feel truly welcomed rather than just waited on. ☕✨

I don’t how I didn’t know about this place from before. They are known for their Aztec hot chocolate. Tried it, very rich and satisfying in this cold. My friend tried the milk hot chocolate and loved it. It’s a chocolate store + cafe. You need reservations but we go the hot chocolates to go. I also bought the Matcha White Chocolate bar and it’s very delicious!
