I love this Chipotle as a second home. I have been coming here since the end of summer this year. I have a narrow diet currently due to several factors, but find ways to make Chipotle work for me. I come every day to get torts and on occasion, sour cream or plain brown rice when I’m feeling that.
IMO the best Chipotle location out of all other surrounding. Including the good old Westlake further down on Detroit (now going downhill) and the new and struggling other Avon (Nagel Crossing) location.
the food here is consistent. I don’t order normal meals here but observe other people’s being made and they are generous on the protein for those needing to know. the staff are down to earth and all-around awesome. now with settling back into things after a recent round of new hires, I have taken notice to more thorough cleaning implemented and on most days (even on weekends or when short staffed) they have a strong and competant staff. I don’t know what it is like here during evening shift, but this is what I experience here from open-afternoon.
all that said- the real reason that I keep eating at this particular Chipotle is the construction/design/layout/Interior, that sets it apart from the rest.
the layout of this place was very well thought out- everything makes sense the way it is. It feels roomy inside. the seating options are plenty and uniquely dispersed, including more private/secluded options. the corner placement within the plaza/building offers a unique wrap-around outdoor eating space, and despite not having window shades, no direct sun enters, allowing for balanced/tolerable lighting all day. the extra high ceilings add to the roomy feel.
the bathrooms have remained the og old school Chipotle design- the Mexican red tile floor and large stainless steel sink w/ manual hot cold faucet. the minds behind the newer built Chipotle’s have made a serious mistake in taking this masterpiece away.
long story short- I’ll keep coming here unless my dietary needs change, or I move far out of the area.
there are some negative reviews on here. I feel that a review should not be left from a one-off Instance. therefore, I waited long enough to get the jist before leaving one myself. every establishment has its strengths and downfalls- and I feel that this location deserves to be recognized for its strengths. If this place didn’t exist I don’t know where I would be eating everyday. thank you for existing.

I had a disappointing experience at this Chipotle recently. The rice was undercooked and hard, making it quite unappetizing. The chicken was incredibly dry, almost inedible. To top it off, the server didn’t bother to spread the veggies, rice, and meat evenly across the bowl, leading to an unpleasant eating experience. Not what I expected from Chipotle.

Absolutely, horrible experience. First I was told they were out of chicken and then miraculously. Once I said, I would wait for chicken to be cooked. There was chicken next. They made my food and proceeded to just leave it on the counter and help other customers in front of me, and behind me and skip over me. The restaurant was a hot mess and a walking health code violation. Crew are on their phones. Most of the time hats, worn backwards manager couldn’t seem to care less just cared about getting out of there. Absolutely horrible customer service and they were out of almost everything for a restaurant that was still open for another hour and a half. So I went to Sheffield and got much better service.

I ordered online, a double chicken bowl and not only is it not double chicken, its hardly a regular portion. Frustrating that I pay for a something EXTRA and get robbed of my hard earned money. It’s not like this was a complicated order. Whoever make this order should work somewhere else zero care for the customer. We were credited a free entre, not my money back to use at another place to buy reliable dinner. Goes to show how little they care to resolve the issue. Just throw a gift card at it and shut the customer up.
The fact is my son is going to still be hungry and it’s going i cost me more money to feed him again tonight because now I have to drive to another place wasting my time and money to get something else. Pathetic.

I’m unable to speak with a manager to voice my concerns because the call gets forwarded to a automated voice response that refuses to escalate the call to a human and directs you to an app. Having an option to speak with a manager that can help find a practical solution to feed my son tonight would have been appreciated, but no i get a crummy credit that doesnt solve my problem now.

So if you go to this location do the drive through. In store they supply the drive through with all choices. I came inside and got a chicken bowl. Out of black beans, out fajita veggies, drive through was loaded with everything. So less options coming inside and still charge you full price for ordering a typical order. Bad business model for patrons to come inside and not be given same options as their drive through. So happy to pay for my meal with less options. Definitely need to address this for people coming into the store. Probably won’t return to this location because after a long day you want to have what you want.

The food was good, but oh my was it spicy! The bathrooms we’re filthy. There was pee all I’ve the floor in the men’s bathroom and it was sprayed all over the women’s toilet seat. The service was fast and friendly. Hopefully the kitchen was more clean than the restrooms. The music was extremely loud, it was difficult to hear each other talk while we were eating.

I got a bowl with almost everything on it and double chicken ! Get get absolutely nothing in the bowl, I get a burrito with double everything and all I got was some rice, chicken and cheese in it and the whole burrito was the size of an apple! Absolutely pissed off! Every time I order chipotle I pay 50 plus dollars to get delivery and get screwed!
