This was my first time visiting JP’s on the Wharf Restaurant. The outside atmosphere is beautiful, filled with plants and a great view of the bay. They offer outdoor seating facing the water, but it was a bit too chilly to sit outside during our visit. Inside is cozy with several tables. They don’t take reservations, but our party of six only waited about 10 minutes for a table.
Our waitress, Cassidy, was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. We started with the calamariand Yucatan shrimp appetizers, both delicious.
For entrées, we ordered the Yellowfin Tuna, Crab Cake, Fish and Chips, CAB Ribeye, and the Tropical Salad with Snow Crab Clusters. My husband loved his crab cake with its crisp golden crust and flavorful crabmeat. My sister-in-law’s ribeye was tender and perfectly cooked. My brother-in-law enjoyed his tuna, nicely blackened outside and raw in the middle. My niece said the fish and chips were the best she’s had in a long time; crispy, light, and tasty.
The beer and wine were good and paired nicely with our meals. The only downside was the water, which had a strange taste. I’d suggest the restaurant offer complimentary bottled water.
Overall, everyone enjoyed their meals, and we had a wonderful dining experience. I’d definitely come back, especially when it’s warmer to enjoy the outdoor seating and beautiful bay view.

So as a southern guy its very hard to find a decent place to eat whenever I have to travel for work. This was not the case at JP’s! The food is amazing! I highly suggest the ribeye(yes its a bit pricey but its well worth it!) And the calamari (i get mine with ranch and its delicious!). The burger is also a great cheaper option if you need one. This is one place I will truly miss whenever I have to leave delaware. The staff and everyone here have become family at this point so please give them your business! You will not be disappointed

Friendly staff and management and a relaxing ocean view atmosphere. Very much enjoyed getting to know some locals and sharing perspective on the surrounding area along with some great recommendations for this “Out of Towner”. As I understand it, the staff catches much of their local fish dishes directly making this probably the freshest seafood I’ve ever had.

This place is a hidden gem. I cant wait to get back there for some fried oysters and their burgers perfectly cooked. Best crab cake sandwich I’ve had in quite a while. Great staff thank you Sarah for the great service. highly recommended and to the owner I hope you know how lucky you are to have such a great place it’s well taken care of and super clean. It’s nice to see people take pride in their work. Great job done by all! Shawn and Brian will see you again soon

Fantastic atmosphere. We sat on the deck and it was peaceful and serene. The waiter was so attentive to us he made us feel like we were the only customer there. He was so attentive also to my allergy. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will be back when we come to visit again. I definitely enjoyed my dinner and conversation with our waiter about the Keys too! Keep up the GREAT work!

Food and service was great! I had the Rockfish that came with potatoes and a veggie. Hubby had Yellowfin Tuna. Both were local caught and cooked perfectly! Food was so delicious and Tyler, our server, was attentive and quick. Prices were reasonable. Afterwards we had a drink at the outdoor bar. Music was good and so were the drinks. Definitely will be back!

You can tell this is a great place from the moment you arrive in the lot. It has the feel of a fun restaurant at the shore and I’m happy to report that it didn’t disappoint. Our food and service were fabulous. Make sure you leave room for the coconut cake

Wow, such a beautiful view, darn near breathtaking. This was absolutely the most enjoyable dinner of my life. The food was fresh and flavored so deliciously. The lobster was THE BEST I’ve EVER had!! The dessert was big enough to share with my son and father, which was also lovely being able to share my dessert with them enhances the experience for all of us really because that mud pie was soooooo good! Our server was so nice and helpful throughout the meal. If you ever get the chance you need to go here. Best restaurant I’ve ever been to, hands down.
