You are seriously a dummy if you go to Minneapolis and don’t hit one of these. The beef sambusa with the green hot sauce and steak plate and plantains…nomnomnom and the girls working the counter are adorable and friendly. It rocks and I took mine on Amtrak to Chicago. It’s only expensive if you order too much! Go!!

This restaurant is somewhat overhyped—it’s a very ordinary, typical Chipotle-style establishment. However, don’t get me wrong—Chipotle offers a better selection and tastier menu options overall.
During this visit, I ordered a chapati wrap with French fries and tea. The tea was decent—I’d rate it 8/10.
The chapati wrap was essentially a flatbread filled with pieces of beef, lettuce , and some vegetables. The taste was below average, especially when compared to Chipotle.
That said, the restaurant does have a nice atmosphere, good seating, and solid customer service.

Stopped in while watching a hockey game at Tria rink. Definitely fire! Got the chipani wrap and with chicken. It was well balanced and delicious. The salad it came with was also excellent. I recommend it!

My wife and I used to really like Afro Deli when we lived in Minneapolis. We recently moved to St. Paul and live less than a mile away, so we’ve ordered from the St. Paul location a few times when we haven’t been able to cook or leave the house for whatever reason.
The first time we ordered the bag did not include the extra sauces we paid for. Although this was frustrating, we didn’t think much of it – forgetting to include a sauce happens. It’s no big deal.
The second time we ordered, there was no dressing for our salad. This was more frustrating than the first issue, but they remembered the sauces this time, so we wrote it off as a simple mistake.
The third and final time we ordered, the salad AGAIN did not include dressing. Not only that, it seems like the location had run out of their usual to-go boxes, so each of our items was in a much smaller box.
Look, I understand that small items sometimes get missed when packing up delivery orders. But missing something in 3 of 3 orders? Also, missing dressing for a salad twice? That’s not like some niche add on… The obvious explanation for these consistent errors is that the staff here don’t care much about delivery orders.

Honestly, after I got pregnant and started having an aversion to chicken I started coming here for their Lamb Gyros. I was still craving meat, I did not want chicken, I don’t often want Burgers and their Lamb Gyros solved my problem. When I come here I tend to get a Lamb Gyro with a side of Fries. 100% Worth it. Not bad for $12 – $13. For a few more dollars you can get a drink. I have noticed other people also really like their Tea. Maybe when I am not pregnant anymore I will try it. Their fries are delicuous with or without the sauce, 100%. I love their regular fries, but I also love their sweet potato fries. I never have any complaints about the food, they are open until 8pm, the staff is always nice to me and the place is always clean. personally love going to Afro Deli & Grill. The food is good, the price is reasonable, I love their Lamb Gyros and I am so serious about the fries, with or without the sauce the fries taste great! The food is 100% worth it.

My first try with Afro daily and I like it.
If you don’t know your way around here, this location is difficult to access; we had to sneak through the neighboring tap room to get to the entrance until we realized there’s a side door.

My first visit there I ordered the #currychicken and it was very delicious and a nice large portion size! The food was #hot and #fresh. My friend had #jumbo #fried #shrimp and #fries, also delicious and worth the price!
Second visit I had the #Somalian #Steak #sandwich which tasted delicious! The fries were cold this time but when I brought them to be warmed up they gave us a whole new batch and offered for us to keep the cold ones. Great food and great service overall!
