It all began on January 27, 1958. With $50 in the cash register, Del and Helen Johnson opened “Sizzler Family Steak House” in in Culver City, California. This was the place where everyone could enjoy a great steak dinner at an affordable price. Today, we strive to serve the best hand-cut steaks at the most affordable price for the whole family with the addition of a broad, all-American menu and an abundance of fresh and healthy options. A rare treat to find a Sizzler still going strong! This is easily one of the best “bang for your buck” meals in Roseburg. The unlimited salad bar is the absolute highlight—it’s loaded with variety, including pasta, a taco bar, and surprisingly delicious fried chicken.

The Main Course: We had the fish and the ribeye steak. Both were delicious and hit the spot, though the seasoning was a bit on the salty side for my personal taste.

The Verdict: If you’re feeling nostalgic or just want a hearty, high-value meal, this location is definitely worth the stop.

Why is there no actual sign on the building?? There is only the street sign but the building has nothing on it staying is Sizzler. Not even on the windows! Makes no sense to me and drove around for a moment as we were not sure.

It’s been awhile since we have been to one but this one seems too small. Only has the one buffet counter. It was mostly salad items. Only hot food was wings, noodles, and taco meat. The utensils for the items made no sense. Tell me why instead of spoons to get food, they have tongs…. tongs! For items like potato salad, cottage cheese and other things. Many items barely had anything in them too (empty containers). Went in around 3pm, and wasn’t even that busy.

Salad bar plates need a better job at cleaning. Many had food still on them. Pretty nasty to be honest when you have multiple plates like that. Some people don’t look and just grab and go, and I couldn’t believe it.

Staff was nice but this place needs a good in depth look. I was only there due to going to the wildlife Safari. We used to go to Sizzler a lot in SoCal and loved it. It was a total let down and will not return to this one.

Sorry, no pictures. Was so hungry I forgot to take pictures. I love the peach drink. We all had the salad bar.

Today, I want to Sizzler in Roseburg and had the best wait staff ever. His name was Derek and he was phenomenal. He was the only person working the floor. And it was busy. I watched how he handled everybody and how he communicated and how he was attentive to people. He was just the best waiter I’ve ever had in my whole life. When I was leaving I pulled him aside and told him how awesome he was. And he said it was customers like me that made his day. And I told him it was people like him that made coming to Sizzler enjoyable. I sure hope Sizzler knows what a wonderful employee they have with Derek. If he’s not in the management position, he should be. I would definitely come back if I knew Derek was working.

I left a 2 star for food because we found hair in the salad. Brought it to the waitresses attention but nothing was done about it. No apology nothing. Left a 2 star for service due to the reason just explained. $45 for 2 salad bars and drinks. The reason for the 2 star atmosphere. We were the last people in the restaurant so she had plenty of time to bring it to the managers attention. Go ahead and take a chance if you want. We won’t be back.

Dareck has been our server several times and every time he has been great!!! He remembers us and are preferences, likes and dislikes. He always has a smile. The salad bar is always clean and fresh and my husband always gets his steak the way he ordered it and the female chef is awesome!! We think her name is Toni. We highly recommend stopping in.

It had been years since I’ve been to a Sizzler. The food tastes exactly as I remember. It was good. The kids left full too. But our server, Derrick, made our little dinner out so much more enjoyable! Will definitely go back!

My Oregon weekend get-away had a happy ending. Those childhood memories of all you can eat salad bar came to an end. No more fried chicken strips and ice cream. Instead, I ordered a plate from the big kids menu. The Steak & Lobster combo was the pick of the day. Everything was perfect. The attendant was so kind to upgrade my steak to a 16 oz. for an additional fee. I even crafted a salad entree and got unlimited refills on my strawberry lemonade. The side of mushrooms and baked potato completed a delicious meal.
