We had a very disappointing experience at this Japanese hibachi restaurant on Valentine’s Day. We made a 7:30 PM reservation and arrived on time, but weren’t seated until 8:00 PM—even though there were empty tables. When we asked the host, she said they were waiting for another party to fill the table instead of seating us, even though another couple with the same reservation time was also waiting. Those extra guests never showed up, yet we were still made to wait.
Once seated, service didn’t improve. No one came to take our order until we asked, and we weren’t even given water for about 20 minutes. The hibachi chef provided no interaction or entertainment at all—no greeting, no performance, nothing that makes hibachi dining special. He simply cooked quietly and left. Portions were also inconsistent; some plates had more food while others barely had any.
To make matters worse, my husband became very sick within 24 hours with vomiting and diarrhea, and I also felt slightly unwell. When we called the restaurant, they dismissed our concerns, saying no one else had reported issues.
We’ve been here before, but the quality has clearly gone downhill. For the high price, the experience and service were absolutely not worth it. We won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it.

Made a reservation on Tuesday for Valentine’s Day (Saturday) for 5:45. Show up at 5:20 on Valentine’s Day and wait in line for 25 minutes to check in. Wait until 6:10 and still didn’t get seated. Ended up leaving rather than wait in a crowded foyer with 40 other people.
What’s the point of making a reservation 5 days in advance if I’m just going to wait the same amount of time or longer than someone who didn’t make a reservation? What made it even worse is that they kept track of the reservations by handwriting them on a blank piece of paper. It looked like a 7th graders open ended English exam.

Fantastic fresh food. Absolutely impeccable service. Loved it. I’m very picky when it comes to Asian food. Recommend the tie spicy role. Especially if you like cilantro. The rice, be it shrimp fried or white, is perfectly cooked and seasoned.

Went for bday celebration with my granddaughter it was what she wanted to do for her night out 12 years old. Did do anything at the habachi table except cook, they were waiting for the entertainment but was none 6 year old grandson ask why they weren’t doing anything at ours but 2 other tables was having great time with their chef my granddaughter didn’t have anything special that night except food because of your service. When brought to your attention next day all you could say food good that’s all matters should not have tip server. No drink refills 1 adult 2 children bill 89.00. What do you say to your granddaughter when that’s all she wanted for her bday. You could not offer a gift card or anything to make it better. My advice is go to Naruto cheaper, better service and only a few doors down, I think Ali got to big for its pants. I will promote on every social media NARUTO not Ali!

On this particular night for dinner I had the hibachi fried rice with shrimp and steak. That meal was great as always and lasted me two days after that night. For dessert I had the Tempura Fried Cheesecake which was probably the best dessert i’ve ever eaten.

AKI is always a favorite Hibachi of ours. Staff is very friendly. Chefs are great and very skilled. Salmon and Scallop Hibachi was exceptional. Very reasonably priced and great portions. All ages will enjoy the experience.
