We moved here in 2015 and tried this place out. The food was good but it was always cold. We tried it a few more times and it was the same thing, food always cold. A couple weeks ago we got reassured by a few people on Facebook that this place was better now.
So after 8 years we gave it another shot today. I wish I could say it was better now, but it just is not.
They open at 11:00, we got here at 11:20. They already had maybe 10 tables. We started with egg drop soup, it was good and pretty warm, I was hopeful. Then I tried the sushi, it was good probably my favorite thing here.
Then I tried the crab Rangoon, chicken on a stick and egg roll. Crab Rangoon was so curdled and dried out I took one bite and left it on the plate. I wish I would have taken a picture of it opened up, but if you look at my Pic you can see it it seeping out from the top and all dried out. Chicken on a stick was room temp and dry. The egg roll was almost warm and tasted pretty good.
Still trying to find something good I got the sesame chicken, stuffed mushroom and peanut butter chicken. The sesame chicken was the same as everything else, cold. Stuffed mushroom was probably cooked the day before it was so old. Peanut butter chicken, was really tough, but had good flavor.
By this time I was done. I grabbed some desert and got out of there.
I really wanted this place to be better. There’s a Chinese buffet in Taylors and their food is always hot. You can see the steam coming out of their containers while at New China they just float around on water. I really think if they’d just update their buffet warmers maybe they food would stay a little hotter.
Anyway I’m sorry. I really hoped for a good experience. I believe I’ve given this place more chances that it deserves. Whoever told me that it was better now is either a liar or delusional. I won’t be back.

I got home and realized there was nothing to eat. I called & ordered food from here / This is one of the best places in the area.
I drove about 10 minutes one way, picked up the food, came back home, changed clothes & send down to eat, open the bag & it wasn’t what I ordered.
So I change clothes again, drove back & turned all the food, because I didn’t want to wait I actually ordered or reheat something that’s supposed to be hot and fresh.
My kids always tell me- dad come down, take my plate, just don’t get mad., but I’m tired of the constant mistakes.

Very clean, excellent food, attentive service. I rarely, if ever eat at buffets, but this one is so clean, and the food so fresh that I’m happy to have to found this place.

Came in with my family, very friendly servers, took care of our needs. Food was also great. Would recommend if you want to eat allot and dont want fast food.

I’ve visited this location twice and I can say they definitely do a good job. They are quick to seat and accommodate guests coming in. We were seated and had our drinks on the table before we could even come back with our first plate. The hot tea is my favorite, and I adore the little cups they serve alongside the tea pot.
A few of the foods could use improvement, the puff chicken and crab ragoons haven’t been very fresh, and its easy to tell by the taste and texture.
I love the deserts and the ice creams they have available. The food was delicious, my favorite is the chicken and broccoli.
This isn’t a complaint on the restaurant, but I was a little sad they didn’t have the salmon and cream cheese without avacado (im allergic) but its ok, everything else was good.
I definitely will skip the buffet in Spartanburg to come dine at this location if given the choice.

Taste is really good , and nice and clean. They follow COVID-19 restrictions. The owner is really nice and very take care the customers. Should go and enjoy the meals.

Horrible service! My grandmother was taken advantage of and humiliated here ! She was charged for an extra buffet she did not have and was given her receipt written in Chinese! After trying to explain to them she was overcharged and made fun of not being able to read her receipt, they continued to argue with her and made her pay the extra charge
