We had an amazing time.
The service from Nadia was exceptional, as she always came to the table with a smile. She was prompt and courteous, and we had no problems with her service.
The food was outstanding. We had the Chilaquilles (with and without the Carne Asada). Highly recommend with the Carne Asada, with a sunny side up egg. A+
The Carne Asada breakfast burrito my cousin had was rated low by him, possibly due to the fact he requested to de-construct the burrito and remove the eggs (he doesn’t eat eggs cause he’s strange)
We enjoyed fresh hot coffee and Mimosa flights.
We sat outside, and enjoyed the beautiful weather.
Reservations are recommended as this spot is popular, and seating is limited.
Would definitely return to try their other breakfast items!

My parents have been coming to Night & Day Cafe for years, and I finally got to join them. Breakfast did not disappoint! I had the machaca and it was delicious. I really enjoyed sitting at the counter watching the kitchen staff in action. Great food, good service, and a friendly vibe. Definitely a spot worth visiting for a tasty mix of American and Mexican breakfast favorites.

A quaint American Mexican cafe. If you ever had the problem of wanting both classic American diner and Baja Mexican food, this is your place. Prices are slightly elevated and seating is limited unfortunately.

We came and lucked out with having all seats open. But not long after the place filled up and the outside seating wasn’t set up so not many people were able to dine at the time. Something to be aware of when coming here. They have a large variety of food to choose from here. I ended up getting the Huevos Rancheros and a Pollo Asado taco. Service was quick and food came out at a good pace. It’s great being able to see the kitchen and food being prepped right in front of you. There’s no hiding anything here. The bad thing about it is that you get to see all the food you didn’t order and now want to try because it looks so good. My Huevos Rancheros came out first. This was a “healthy” portion of food. I kind of wish I didn’t order this as I barely had space for my taco. It was an “Americanized” version with lettuce and sour cream and was swimming in sauce (made the tortillas soggy). At least it was well seasoned. The Pollo Asado taco was great. Also well seasoned and “Americanzied” but the flavor and char on the chicken was delicious. Only gripe was also the classic “soggy” corn tortilla. Not a fan of that but it is what it is.

Service was spot on. Drinks were refilled and plates cleared soon after finishing. Was checked up on regularly. Also love the “lived” in classic diner feel. It isn’t necessarily pretty, but has that homey small town vibe.

Night and Day Cafe is a place to get unapologetic classic diner food and it’s great at just that. If you aren’t looking for anything extravagant and just want to sit down and have a good meal without any fancy twists or modern touches, this is your place. Especially if you are looking for something Mexican and American at the same time. The prices are slightly higher for what you are getting but I’m pretty sure that has to do with location and should be expected.

It was cold outside and they had another heater they could’ve put out, but they didn’t. They had hot chocolate, but there wasn’t very much flavor and it was so hot I couldn’t even hold the mug and definitely not drink it for a long time. The mango salsa taco had good fish and salsa, but there’s no sauce on it so it was a little dry. They brought us food, but no silverware for over five minutes, so our food got cold, and we went and grabbed our own silverware.

Outside seating off the street, Alejandro was such a wonderful server. Burritos were delicious and big. Plan on coming back when make it back from Wy.

The hospitality was off the charts. Starting with Jessie, then Nico and the finale was Luis.
It is a small, locally owned and amazing place to dine. The menu is diverse, our food was delicious. The friendliness we encountered here from Jessie at the front door to the customers was just what we needed.

This is not a drill. This place is the real deal!
I came in on a Monday afternoon and Jesse assisted me with ordering. I had an exceptional coastal taco duo and the wonderfully unique Terry taco. The meal was excellent and I was certainly impressed enough to return the next day.

Wow! I make it a mission to find excellent Mexican food and this place has it most definitely!
I ordered the beer battered fish taco, a carne asada taco, and the adobada taco. I cannot express the symphony of flavor those tacos provided. The beer battered taco was beyond delicious! Perfect deep fried fish complemented by perfect fillings and sauce. The carne asada was exceptional. The adobada…the ADOBADA!!!! WHAT!!?? I seek out adobada pork all over the Western U.S. and Night and Day Cafe is my new standard for adobada .
Thank you Jesse for your great attitude and wonderful service. And a shout out to the co-owner Luis. I just had to meet him to express my gratitude and respect for such a magnificent and well priced culinary delight.
Small place with great staff and compliments to the amazing cooks! Don’t miss the opportunity to have some insanely good food here!

Stumbled on this place by chance and was extremely happy with everything. Tiny little hole-in-the-wall with a small counter for seating inside and just a couple small tables outside. Staff was amazing, genuinely happy and helpful. Sitting at the counter we got to see how everyone interacted and it was very impressive. The chefs worked seamlessly together and with the waiters, you can tell they enjoy their jobs and each other; watching them prepare our food was a show itself. They run an impressively clean and well oiled operation. The food was great with a very wide variety of options from diner style breakfast to delicious fish tacos. Portions were more than generous and the burritos were gigantic. Highly recommend this place, we will definitely be returning.

We recently had a vacation on Coronado Island in this restaurant was open extra late and possibly may be the only restaurant open late.

We stopped in here after checking into our hotel at night and found the experience amazing! Yes, this place is a diner, and there are counter style seating as well as patio tables as well.

We opted to sit inside so we can experience the diner environment. Ordered in the fish taco as well as some chips and salsa. Our waitress was exceptional and had a positive attitude.

The food of course is diner style, so don’t expect any any sort of healthier options per se. It was fun to watch the cook, make our food and bring it directly behind him to us.

Next time we vacation in Coronado, we will definitely be back.

As former Coronado residents, we have a sentimental soft spot for this place, and try to revisit when back in town. Our meal yesterday was wonderful, perhaps the best it’s ever been. Gabriel our chef did an amazing job. he’s fast, organized, and clearly talented. I know, it’s greasy spoon/diner food, right? True, but it was really good. I got the club sandwich, my wife got the burrito. Ice cold white claws were welcome. And old school music while it rained outside. Perfect day.
