Simplicity. Often searched for, rarely found. Hugh-Baby’s BBQ & Burger Shop throws back to a time when things were as simple as they could be. A time when even the smallest things were well-made with deliberate attention and care. When, just because something was to be simply enjoyed, you didn’t throw craftsmanship and dedication out the window. We’ve brought back that same integrity to our menu with an obvious attention to detail. We illustrate this daily by grinding our own beef for our burgers, following time-honored Memphis barbecue, and hand-spun milkshakes. Then we’ve combined these signature items with a small, straightforward menu that gives our guests more time to enjoy all the effort that goes into our food.

Went to this restaurant 1st time. Good service, great food. Mushroom burger just melted in my mouth! French fries were hard though. Ambience quite relaxing and gave HAPPY DAYS VIBES with THE FONZ! Will go again; definitely recommend. Free parking. Shakes, burgers and fries!

After me & my wife made it to Nashville & went into a few stores we were hungry. We wanted something new so we decided to try Hugh-Baby’s out. I had the double cheeseburger well done w/grilled onions and extra seasoning on the fries. My wife had the single cheeseburger same way with extra seasoning on the fries as well. We really enjoyed our meal. The burger was made fresh & hot. It was something new & a really good burger. So after that my wife wanted a chocolate shake. I ordered me 2 ball park hotdogs w/grilled onions & my wife a bologna sandwich w/grilled onions to go for later. Which was also good as well. We’ll definitely be back the very next time we’re in Nashville. This place is definitely on my to-do list again…

Nice little fast food with a twist on menu offerings with bbq pulled pork, etc. Sandwiches were a bit small but tasty. Could have used some extra sauce on the pulled pork (which was offered at pick up). Fries were ok, but nothing special. Plenty of seating.

Good spot to grab a good smash burger. Shoestring fries are good. Budget to spend $10 for Burger, fries and a drink. Service is friendly and quick. Your burger is cooked on the open grill right in front of you. Atmosphere has always been fine.

The burgers were not all that delicious, seemed like regular burgers from a grocery store nothing special. We had better burger experiences elsewhere and the place could use some cleaning. My wife said her burger was a bit pink.

Great smash burger and good fries and shakes.
Burgers are cooked on the flattop before your eyes. You can watch them be smashed! These results in crispy, flavorful edges and a super thin patty. Topped with their sauce, onion, lettuce and cheese -makes for a great burger experience. The bun is soft and the burger is messy. It’s perfect.
Crispy, salty fries with some of the potatoes skin still on them.
Fountain for soft drinks and no visit is complete without a shake- try chocolate. It’s topped with whipped cream and a cherry! It’s perfect.
There’s nothing not to like about this place.

Our family loves eating at Hugh Baby’s in Berry Hill. The staff are kind and service is efficient. They serve top quality food with lots of flavor. We typically eat the burgers and fries. The in-house “Comeback Sauce” is a favorite. There is an outdoor space to eat during good weather but there is no shade in the hot, summer months. I’d compare the type of smash-burgers and shakes to Shake Shack but more affordable. Kids drinks are free and they offer military/first responder discount which makes it even more affordable. The fries are matchstick fries with perfect amount of seasoning. The decor is reminiscent of an old-fashioned diner.

Stumbled across this place trying to find tacos lol, however I’m glad I discovered this place. I ordered the Shroom and swiss burger ($7.49) and fries ($2.99) everything is à la carte so there’s no combos my total came out to be 14.23. In my opinion that’s kinda pricy for a combo. But to say the least everything was fresh and delicious. Very greasy burger home style
