We came to Paterson, New Jersey from Canada and had an amazing experience at İstanbul Cafe and Restaurant with my family for a traditional Turkish breakfast for four.
There were over 20 different items on our table — olives, cheese, jam, menemen, su böreği, sigara böreği, honey and clotted cream, simit, tea, and so much more. Everything was fresh and incredibly delicious. It truly reflected authentic Turkish cuisine.
The ambiance was just as impressive as the food — elegant, spacious, and peaceful. We enjoyed our breakfast in a very pleasant setting. The staff were also very kind and attentive.

Great spot for authentic Turkish food! The dishes are fresh, flavorful, and everything taste homemade in well seasoned.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff are super attentive and friendly. It’s just the perfect place for a delicious and comforting Turkish meal. I absolutely will be coming back to dine at this wonderful establishment.

Almost a year ago, I went to dine inside this beautiful Turkish restaurant on the twenty-ninth of October. This was a fitting way to celebrate Turkish Republic Day and I shall go to this restaurant tomorrow for the same purpose. Furthermore, that was my very first time celebrating Turkish Republic Day. I fondly enjoyed the scenery and the service.
The dish I had was the Ali Nazik which consisted of sautéed lamb with peppers, onions, tomato sauce, and eggplant puree. The side dish of orzo and homemade plain yogurt without sugar was one of my favorite side dishes. Lastly, I savored the Turkish tea.

Some people told me to try this place and I was disappointed. Bad service and the food wasn’t good it made me nauseous. I got a spinach and feta omelet and a gozleme with cheese just tasted horrible. It looks very nice inside but good food makes a restaurant not decor.

Absolute food haven! We were 2 and ordered a breakfast and a simit plate – ended up packing the leftovers for later it was so spacious and pleasantly decorated inside. The staff were friendly and attentive. Best breakfast experience. I have no doubt anything else we chose would’ve been just as great.
