Our goal is to bring an old school Taqueria to Yerington. The menu is simple (but will grow) and this is for a reason. Everything is made from scratch, including our handmade tortillas to bring the most authentic tasting food, that seems like a lost art by taking shortcuts. Our Tacos, Quesabirrias, and growing menu items come plain, with an open toppings bar so the order can come to your liking.

The first time we had tacos there I rated them a 5 and said they were the best tacos ever. The chicken tacos were white meat and seasoned so well.
We were so looking forward to eating there today , we live out of town.
Today the chicken tacos were absolutely disgusting. Dark yucky pieces of meat with bones in it, just gross , unedible we through $32 worth of tacos in the trash.
Never again.

It’s a shame this place is only open on Friday-Sunday because they really do have some of the best Mexican food I’ve had anywhere. Certainly, rivals ones that I’ve frequented in SoCal. They do have a limited menu but to me, that’s how it is at a good taqueria. On our last visit, my wife had a carne asada and a pollo asada taco and as you’d expect, they were served plain on really good homemade tortillas and so that you can load them up at the very well stocked salsa bar. And I should note, not only are the salsas delicious, they even have a few that are really spicy hot if that’s what you’re into. Of course, if guacamole is what you prefer, they offer a super tasty one as well. For me, I had their HUGE carne asada with everything in it and it was outstanding! And, just as you’d expect from a place like this, they serve homemade tortilla chips and salsa and to drink, you can order a Mexican Coke in a bottle which is far better than your traditional American Coke. Now, there are a couple of things that you do need to be aware of and the first is that this is a CASH ONLY restaurant and there is NO ATM so be sure to come prepared. That said, for all the food we ordered and with the tall Cokes, our total bill was only $25. The other thing to be aware of is that if you come during the lunch rush, the place will be packed and service can be a little slow. However, the service is always super friendly and for me, that more than makes up for it. One last thing, there are specials that aren’t on the menu that are awesome such as enchiladas on Friday, flautas on Saturday and 2 for 1 carnitas tacos on Sunday so be sure to ask about them.

This is my favorite taco spot in all of Y-Town. My personal favorite are the cabeza Tacos and the menudo on Sundays. Although all of the tacos have been great and all the meats are delicious. The tortillas are all freshly made there daily. And the burritos are amazing and huge. Fridays they serve up 5 chicken or cheese enchiladas with rice and beans special for $7. It’s a CASH ONLY business, so bring be sure to bring cash. On Sundays, the CARNITA Tacos are 2 for 1. I highly recommend this place.
