The food is fine. It’s what you’d expect for “fast” food. Can’t ever seem to get it fast though. 3 separate occasions now I’ve ordered delivery directly through their website and it’s taken this location over an HOUR to make that delivery half a mile away.

I recently stopped by Jimmy John’s and I have to say, my experience left me feeling pretty disappointed. I ordered their bread sandwich, expecting a hearty meal for the ten dollars I paid, but what I got was underwhelming to say the least.
First off, let’s talk about the portion sizes. I ordered it with an extra slice of cheese, but when I opened up the sandwich, I could barely spot it amidst the overwhelming amount of lettuce. I understand that freshness is key, but when the majority of the filling is lettuce, it makes the sandwich feel more like a salad with bread than a proper meal.
The turkey slices were sparse, to say the least. I’d expected a more satisfying amount of meat for the price, but it felt like I was playing hide and seek with the turkey. It really didn’t do much to elevate the sandwich or justify the cost.
Overall, I walked away feeling less than satisfied and quite frankly, a bit ripped off. For ten dollars, I expect a sandwich that at least resembles a balance of ingredients. Sadly, this sandwich missed the mark. I might consider giving this place another chance, but next time, I’ll definitely be more cautious about what I order

Drive thru was quick, I now see why. I’m missing half my sandwich. Paid extra for avocado, missing. Asked for extra onion, missing. For a somewhat expensive sandwich shop I expect them to be built correctly. Unsatisfied customer.

I frequently get JJ and when we do we get a box and we understand if it takes longer than normal. I made an online order and it would not show me tracking, i called the store and asked when my order would be ready and the worker told me ‘i dont have time right now, come get your order in 30 mins, im busy right now’. I have no issue with the food. It’s consistently good. What I find frustrating at the Urbandale location is that four times now I’ve ordered my sandwich online and when I arrive at the restaurant 20-30 minutes later, they haven’t even started on my sandwich. What happened to freaky fast? There’s something crazy about being able to get a pizza at Domino’s quicker than a cold meat sandwich at Jimmy John’s.

Have had multiple issues with quality control from this location. Usually ask for east hot peppers, which should be 3-4 and I will end up with 6-8 or more on my sandwich. Tonight I ordered a slim 5 and received a slim 1 with the rest of my order correct. Called and asked for a replacement sandwich, employee said it could be a while since they had other deliveries, which was understandable. 40 minutes later, an unmarked car showed up, tossed the sandwich in the door, and someone ran back outside and sped off. Sandwich was correct this time, but the attitude of the nighttime delivery drivers needs to be adjusted.

Worst sandwich ever. The bread was burnt and dried out. Hardly any meat on our sandwiches. ☹️. Went back to the restaurant and talked to the manager. He was very apologetic and was willing to make things right. We will give this JJ’s another chance.
