We stopped in at the Big Boy in Chillicothe and ended up having a really satisfying, no‑nonsense meal. I started off with some cottage cheese — simple, cold, and exactly what I expected. After that, I went for the classic Big Boy. It’s one of those sandwiches I’ve had plenty of times over the years, and this one tasted just the way it should. Hot, put together well, and comforting in that familiar Big Boy way.
The fries were the crinkle‑cut kind, which I always appreciate. They came out hot and had that soft‑inside, crisp‑outside thing going on that makes them easy to enjoy with the sandwich. Nothing fancy, just good fries done right.
For my drink, I had a cherry Pepsi. They mix the cherry flavoring into the Pepsi themselves, kind of an old‑school touch. It wasn’t anything dramatic — just a nice, cold soda that went well with the meal.
The whole place had a relaxed vibe, and the staff kept things moving without making anyone feel rushed. It was just an easy, comfortable stop with good food and the kind of consistency you hope for when you walk into a Big Boy. I’d definitely stop by again when I’m in the area.

Iconic restaurant for sure, but nice & clean My hubby & I each had a Big boy, asked for extra tarter sauce & pickles! Got them added to our sandwiches! Had a nice sized dish of cottage cheese & coleslaw! Service was very good! Ample parking easy to access parking lot from main drag!

3 of us waited 45 minutes for our food. Broccoli wasn’t cooked or seasoned and chicken was CHEWY. Waitress offered free dessert but they definitely need to step up their game. Usually- it’s a good experience.

It’s been about 15 months since we’ve had Frisch’s. We drove up here from Beavercreek. The service was great! The food was hot and fresh! Very friendly staff! We shall return…..well worth the drive!

This was my best experience at Frisch’s. Our food was hot and fresh. The waitress was very nice and good. This place is 40 years old but they have keep up with the cleanliness. They even have an actual payphone in there entrance way. I would recommend this place.

Food was subpar, even for a place like Frisch’s. Side salad was boring and a little on the brown side. Cole slaw was overly sweet, and I’m not sure what all the green bits in it were. Cod was OK. Garlic toast flavorless. Best thing was the tartar sauce, and the food came out fast and hot. Extra 3% if you pay with a card.

Pretty dissatisfied, not sure what the waitress was doing after the sentence, can I take your order? I asked for a cup of soup, the egg,meat, pancake meal and told scrambled eggs and sausage. She then asks me how I want my eggs, what meat, obviously, listening is not her forte. No soup comes so clearly was not listening to anything I said. Too busy sweeping to give us refills, even though very close to our table. When asked at the register, how was everything? We said, Pretty lousy, no apology or asked what could be done to correct our experience.

Service was sub-par. Waitress was inattentive and unaware that the food wasn’t even all sent out and was placed before the wrongs guests and there was only two of us. Food was underwhelming to say the least. My onions rings came out after the entire meal was already finished and we had to ask for them. My overall visit was not what I was hoping for but not as bad as what I’ve heard about this location I’d give it a 2 out of 5. Not likely to recommend this place to anyone

Stephanie M. was our server tonight. She was GREAT!!! She was very polite and pleasant to talk to. All the staff there is always awesome!!! We had the breakfast bar at 7:30pm. It was delicious! We will definitely be back!!!
