Good assortment of kid options.
Margaritas are on the sweeter side.
Highly recommend if you’re in the area.
The drinks were bland and the tacos completely savorless, which only made the lack of service stand out more. I called afterward to speak with a manager, but was told multiple times that no one was available and to “call back in a few weeks.”
Reading other reviews, it’s clear this isn’t a one-time issue. Many guests mention the same indifference from the staff. The restaurant may look nice, but when guests feel invisible and the food lacks flavor, there’s zero reason to come back.
It was one of the most inattentive experiences I’ve had in any restaurant ever.
I wouldn’t return even if offered free food and drinks for a year. Waste of my time and money. Never again.
You can hop on the waitlist via Yelp. There is seating for small and large parties. Be sure to visit this neighborhood gem!
Street taco – fluffy homemade corn tortilla, tender marinated asada, slice of lemon, fresh Pico de Gallo. Good but I ordered a la carte and I thought it was a bit pricey, had to taste it though.
Huevos Divorciados two eggs over medium, one smothered in regular salsa and the other in green salsa, separated by a mound of Chilaquiles. Just needed a little salt but all tasted very good.
Staff attentive in black uniform. Exercised the “if you have time to lean you have time to clean,” philosophy – never saw them just stand around.
Atmosphere respectfully festive, not noisy, good music, good vibe. There’s a big mural on the wall-if you know you know- zarape curtains, sturdy wooden tables accented with tile, comfy padded chairs. An honors wall leads you to the bathroom with framed celebrity pictures and newspaper mentions and reviews. Bathroom, decorative, clean and stocked. Great place.
Food was fresh, well seasoned, and they used the right kind of cheese on their dishes. I am in love with their salsas. They bring chips and two different salsas to your table while you wait and they were amazing. They have vegetarian and vegan options that are tasty, like a black bean taco on a made from-scratch tortilla. I had the chilaquiles at breakfast time with a fried egg on top. Their sauce is definitely homemade and was delicious. The portions were generous and I left completely satisfied.
The servers were great and attentive, my husband said one of the servers is the owner’s son. I think our other server was the daughter. They have family pride of ownership and it shows. I highly recommend coming here. Now whenever I get a craving for Authentic Mexican food, I think of this place first. The prices were right too, you get what you pay for, quality, freshness, and great service.
