Amazing Nigerian place that satisfied my craving! I ordered the oxtail stew with fufu and last minute added the beignets recommended by the staff. Did not disappoint! The portions were good for me! The place is super comfy for waiting. The food… I was licking my fingers at the end. Will definitely be back to try the egusi when I’m back in town!

Delicious. Tonight was our first time, but absolutely will not be our last. We got the fried plantains, black eye peas with fufu, and the pepper goat stew. I could eat that goat stew everyday and be happy, I think. They also let you try anything on the menu first, which was nice!

Fufu N’ Sauce is an absolute gem. I’ve been eating egusi and fufu for years, and this is hands-down some of the best I’ve had in St. Louis. The egusi is rich, deeply seasoned, and comforting in that soul-satisfying way you hope for but don’t always find—perfectly paired with smooth, pillowy fufu. You can taste the care and authenticity in every bite. And don’t skip the hibiscus drink: it’s vibrant, refreshing, and beautifully balanced with just a hint of ginger that elevates the whole experience. If you’re craving real, well-executed African cuisine, this spot delivers every time. The employee who helped me was nice as well. ️✨

The oxtail is melting tender, go very well with fufu, must order.
The beef stew is very good as well, but I am not sure is it suppose to be taste more spices ot no.
20-20 chicken wings taste a bit dry and no flavor. My friends said it was grilled before not fried.

I’ve had FUFU n’ Sauce before and have never left disappointed. This time was no different. I’m so happy to now know that they have a brick and mortar. Congrats!!

Things to keep in mind that location parking is limited so be aware if you are in need of close parking in case of physical disabilities. The space inside is decorated uniquely and it feels very personal which is something I truly appreciated.

There is not much seat space inside but LISTEN the food i tried today was soooo flavorful. I had the jollof and beef stew, plantains, and surprisingly my favorite thing was the BLACK EYED PEAS! YUMMMM!

Wishing continued success to FUFU n’ Sauce as they embark on their new physical space.

Ordered oxtail stew and goat stew. They are both delicious and served with fufu. I highly recommended oxtail stew. Fufu is really special, it is like mashed potato but with more texture and flavor.

I’ve ordered the 6 meal plan twice now, but never will I patronize this business again. My first experience involved a slight hiccup regarding my scheduled pickup. They informed me that they could have everything that I ordered that same day (Sunday) except for the fish stew or I could postpone pickup until Tuesday in which case I would receive everything. In addition, the service rep offered me a free side dish, I chose plantains, for the inconvenience.

I opted to wait and pickup my food the following Tuesday. I was glad that I did because the fish stew turned out to be my favorite dish followed by the oxtails.

Satisfied overall with my first order, I decided to order a second time a couple weeks later. I placed my order 2/11/26, I received email confirmation that my order was received and confirmed on 2/14/26. The email stated that my order would be delivered sometime between 3-7pm on 2/15/26. Upon checking my email the afternoon of 2/15/26 I noticed a message from fufunsauce stating that I was the only order for that day, asking whether I would be ok with a Tuesday delivery instead. I promptly responded with “Tuesday is fine” and hit send at 1:37 pm.

At approx 6:42 pm on Sunday I received a text message stating that my order would be delivered by 8:30 pm. Surprised by the message because I wasn’t expecting delivery until Tuesday, I asked today or Tuesday? The business owner then stated that she assumed I wanted the order Sunday night because I had not responded to the message sent via email. I verified that I had in fact responded at 1:37 pm per the message in my sent folder. The owner simply responded. “Aww I did not see it. Sorry about that.”

Little did I know that before the night was over I’d be the one that was sorry. Not only did she not deliver my food until 9:50 pm, but it wasn’t even hot like one might have expected believing the food to have been prepared that night. I was tired by this time and simply placed the food in refrigerator because I had no plans of eating that late anyhow.

The following day at lunch, I quickly learned that the reason the food was not hot when delivered was because it was old. It looked like leftovers from someone’s fridge. I cannot believe that I paid nearly $150 for garbage. I can’t help but wonder what she was doing while she had me wasting my evening, waiting for this OLD food to be delivered.

Words cannot fully express how upset, disappointed, disgusted, and downright angry I am about this entire experience. I texted the owner expressing my dissatisfaction and she has not even had the courtesy to respond. Honestly, I can’t even say that I’m surprised. Her behavior is giving the same level of energy as the food she felt comfortable delivering to me after a long miserable day. Part of me wants to take it personal but I know I did nothing to warrant this treatment so I can only assume that this is how she regularly conducts business. Obviously her focus is on making money, not providing quality food, quality service or loyal customers.

This is quite literally the worst experience I have ever had with a restaurant and I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

Wonderfully authentic West African cuisine. The fufu had great texture and paired great with the oxtail stew. The stew was perfect, a masterful blend of spicy and savory. The meat was so tender it was falling off the bones in chunks. A generous portion for a fair price. The most surprising thing though was the kelewele. The plantains were stunning. Perfectly cut, seasoned, and fried. I cannot recommend it highly enough. Go, check it out. You absolutely won’t be sorry.

We came to order to go. Service was friendly and quick.
Menu was straight forward. It is a pick up/to go restaurant. Not a sit down and dine. Nicely decorated inside though !

We got egusi with fufu
And a side of jollof rice .
We also got the hibiscus tea and ginger drink.

This is our first time having fufu and egusi and it was good. To me, fufu definitely had similarities to mashed potato but yet still different and distinct taste. The egusi was good too.
I have nothing to compare it to but it was just okay.
I’ve had jollof rice before from other places. Not sure if today’s jollof rice was a bad batch or something but the moment we opened the container, the smell of cigarettes hit my nose. I still tasted it though and it tasted like I bit into a lit cigarette. It’s also not like a smoky smell or taste either. It’s literally exactly like the smell and taste of a burnt lit cigarette. But like I said maybe it was a bad batch today. But I have never had jollof rice that tasted and smelled like this one .

Both drinks were really tasty though! Definitely recommend trying the drinks!

Very good. My husband and I were customers from the food truck and tried the new restaurant. Lovely decorated clean and inviting takeout. The gentleman taking our order was very nice and helpful with great customer service skills. My husband ordered the Oxtaill pepper stew w fufu and said it was superb. I ordered vegetarian egusi with jollof rice and it was well seasoned and delicious. We also ordered the roasted wings although we didnt go with the sauce that was like honey hot sauce that came with it. She made a fabulous pepper sauce and it was perfect. But its not on the menu right now so… We also got the hibiscus mixed with ginger tea. Perfect blend betwèen African and Diasporan hibiscus. African ones arent that sweet and diaspora ones are very sweet. So it was sweet enough to satisfy a diaspora pallet while not too sweet for West Africans. Same for the Plaintain. Africans like hard non sweet plantain while diaspora like over ripe sweet ones. They were somewhere in the middle. Lastly had the cheesecake bites which were a delicious nice suprise . We got banana strawberry and peach cobbler… yeah.. peach cobbler cheesecake! And it was wonderful. Overall great food and apparently on doordash too so ill be ordering from there too.
