We came up here snowmobiling, and this was the only restaurant open within about a 20-mile radius, so we stopped in for lunch. We ordered hamburgers medium-well and were told they would be served medium because the patties contain pork. We were surprised to learn the hamburgers are not 100% beef, and this was not clearly communicated on the menu.
When the food arrived, it was extremely disappointing. It tasted awful, and we barely touched it, though we still paid for the meal. I ordered the Philly brisket sandwich, and my best friend later ended up with food poisoning.
The bacon on the hamburger was especially bad — it tasted off and low quality. Overall, the food gave the impression that the grill and kitchen may not be properly maintained.
We left a small tip to cover the drinks but did not tip on the food. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
nowhere on this menu can you get 100% real beef burger? If you sold real beef burgers then when I Try to order a medium well burger your employee would’ve corrected me and told me on the bottom of the menu. Well, the menu is in my pictures. Nowhere on the menu. Does it say pork burgers and if you zoom in my picture?. This isn’t real hamburger it’s junk. It’s disgusting. It’s fake. There’s no real meat in here. It’s nasty.. And it’s so gross someone on the reviews wrote the same thing I’m writing you so it’s real. And I included it in my pictures.. Don’t waste your money guys here..
The same thing I experienced here is the same things on the other reviews here this is real you guys the owner replies back, but it doesn’t match the menu and it doesn’t match the photos of my food. If you know what a real beef burger looks like you should be able to look at my close-up picture of my hamburger and ur gonna be like wow that doesn’t look like hamburger inside there.

Was looking forward to trying this place out after a long day riding snowmobiles but we ended up very disappointed. I ordered the Classic Rachel and the turkey was inedible. Very pink and fatty. Everything was over salted too. I wouldn’t recommend.
I would rather not have food re ordered, my table was already eating and we had to wait a good 15 minutes for the food. If I send it back and wait for a new one everyone will be finished eating. You should get the meal correctly the first time.

The chicken bacon ranch wrap was disappointing. Very small portion of shredded cheese, brown lettuce, tiny bit diced bacon and popcorn chicken bits, that are mostly breading. Not an ounce of chicken in the whole wrap. Chicken nuggets from McDonalds would have been better. Even the pickle slices looked like they went through a meat grinder. Not worth the $15 price.

Decent portions sizes. I wanted to love this place, but just found my omelette a bit bland tasting (didn’t say anything to server, so that’s on me). Hashbrowns were crispy, just the way they should be!
I did not see a specialty coffee menu, which surprised me with the all day breakfast but did see a cocktail menu that looked decent.
Server was very nice, but did not check on us until we flagged her down for the bill. I could tell from interactions with other servers though that they do their best to be kind to patrons- literally saw one helping a lady with a walker get into her booth which was incredibly kind.
Will try lunch/dinner menu if we return. Posted picture of kids menu, as I did not see it on the website before we went.

Northwoods has been part of the fabric of Silver Bay for about 10 years and they have some of the best burgers. The Vodo burger is my favorite! Specifically for anybody that enjoys REAL tasty spice (Unlike the last goofball that reviewed.) My family and I enjoy going to Northwoods when my daughters are up for the weekend. The staff is always kind and the food is always tasty!

The highlight of our visit was definitely the hostess — she was warm, welcoming, and really made the experience better. Overall, it was an average meal with excellent service at the front.

So I used the Google Restaurant search while we were on the road and this little gem came forward. The waitress asked if we enjoyed our meal and I said, “Yeah, I dang near licked the plate”. The food was awesome here. Just check out the Trophies.

Impromptu stop after visiting the beach. On the outside, it doesn’t look like it boasts itself as an award winning restaurant, but the smell on the inside absolutely does. There was a long wait being one of the few restaurants in the area, but the wait was completely worth it. Service was friendly. The food was amazing. The portion sizes were almost overwhelming, especially considering the prices. So glad we stopped here, and will 100% go out of our way next time we’re on the north shore to try more of the menu.
