When we first arrived we were greeted and seated quickly, and sat at the counter. (Counter was dirty almost completely across) Then our server did tend to us quite promptly as well. We ordered our food… in which we had to wait about 20-25 min. to receive. While we were waiting, the entire atmosphere of the restaurant was very loud, the workers were all yelling back and forth across the restaurant to each other. Along with the fact that the facility was not well kept in terms of cleanliness, which was disappointing… since Johnny Rockets typically pride themselves on how clean their restaurant’s are. Then, after all of these inconveniences, we finally receive our burger and fries (we ordered 1 burger, 1 order of fries and 1 shake) we had to wait another 10 minutes for the shake. The food was decent at least. But when we get the check from our server, he was going to discount our meal due to the issues that had arose. However, the shift manager (I assume) came behind him and reverted it back to a full price order.
Overall, a very unpleasant experience. I definitely do not recommend this establishment if you are able to avoid it.
*Also it was such a bummer since it was my husband’s first experience at a Johnny Rockets*

Our server was very nice and polite. That’s where the good part of this ended. I did tip her because the food isn’t her fault. Chicken strips were super overcooked and fries were cold. Idk how you do that when the place wasn’t even busy. The difference between a chef and a cook is knowing that chicken doesn’t have to be cooked to death. Very dry, over breaded and just inedible. Won’t be going back. Maybe get some better cooks who know food product and timing. Also, I will add that the bathroom floor was so slippery! It’s like the mopped it with cleaner and never rinsed it. Fall hazard for sure.

I went to go eat with me and my wife. I had work clothes on. Which are stained not dirty. I own a welding company. Lets start with all that. I just spent 1600 at coach across the street. My wife said baby I wanna go eat a burger at that place I said ok let me go in first so I can use restroom. Then we can eat. It was 7pm on. Friday night. I went in was walking towards restroom and a lady yelled across dining area telling me there was no restroom allowed they was being cleaned. I looked at them I said mam no there not. She said once there cleaned we dont allow no one in their. She then said thanks bye threw her hand in the air and acted like she was on the phone. She did this in front of every one. She was a colored woman. So I dont know if it was cause im a blue collar successful person and she is mad about her job but to SUPPOSEBLY clean a bathroom at 7 and not allow a customer to use is is ridiculous. Was not cause broken or nothing so what do they prefer me use a dirty restroom. She made me feel the lowest ever. My wife was coming inside we was about to sit down enjoy our night of eating. Now from here out I will make sure everyone knows that place is horrible and at 7 they clean restrooms and ypu can no longer use a clean restroom there and the colored lady is so unprofessional. Look at the reviews its a horrible place and I will be getting a lawyer. She wouldnt have liked if I made her get water from a different sink cause we was using the other one. She is rude. Unprofessional and I just wanted to enjoy my night with my wife. She was talking insane to me in front of customer. And soon as I find out her name I will be posting it here. She says today it was mona. But I dont belive that. It was Friday evening the 9th. Colored lady is best way I know how to describe. If not mona appologoze but that the name She gave me when I called. Lawyer will be contacting you guys.
If a food establishment offers food and seating by law has to offer a. Restroom. I was gonna buy food and enjoy dinner with wife. And your restroom was cleaned at 7pm and close at 8pm and once cleaned you do not offer restroom to anyone . Thats what that lady’s words was. I will be contacting a lawyer on this. This is ridiculous I would never do no one like this and this is the reason we have the problems we have in this world. Management thinking they run the world with there 18 dollar hour job. Now let’s see how much she runs. After this lawyer contacts you guys. Thanks. Im tired of people treating people like this. So disturbing.

Ordered a fried chicken salad. The lettuce was wilted and maybe a day from needing to be thrown out. The fried chicken was cold, cold, cold. After letting our server know, it went back to the kitchen and came back out with microwaved chicken added to the salad with the existing cold chicken. Had to use my hands to feel which ones to eat. Left my salad the way I got it, and was still charged for the salad although it was left untouched. Very disappointing meal.

When we arrived we had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated, and sat waiting for a waiter to attend to us. We thought “okay they’re busy” even though there wasn’t much going on, however a few minutes after we were seated, another family came in and was quickly seated, and on top of that, the waiter completely ignored us and started taking orders for the second family that came in. Mind you, we were already waiting to be helped for about five minutes and not one person came up to us… but the last straw was when the second family had already got their drinks and appetizers before we were even greeted by a waiter. Can’t tell what everyone’s problem was because we were already given dirty looks from everybody including the cooks, but speak up instead of cowering behind your fake smiles if you have something to say. I will gladly take my family to a better and more attentive restaurant that wants to make money and big tips. The waiters were a white man with blonde hair and hat, and a thin brunette. Hope the owner sees this and addresses this issue to their rude and unprofessional employees.

Our server, Isabella, was great but the manager, Jasmine, was terrible. My niece, with her 3 month baby, was asked to move her stroller outside because it was blocking a walkway. When she said she was about to lay the baby down, Jasmine still told her to move the stroller outside. So my niece had to go outside and sit. Mind you, the restaurant was EMPTY! To top things off, our very upset server was asked to go home for the day due the discrimination we faced today. The owner should be aware of what happened today at the Johnny Rockets in San Marcos. We will never enter this restaurant again.

My son got the Rocket and didn’t notice it was raw until about half way. They wouldn’t remove it off the ticket because it was over half eaten. The manager was rude, and tried to say that thats how their burgers are made. They never told us that, and my burger was well cooked. So that was a lie. She did offer to have another one made, but I didn’t want another one, I just wanted his burger off the ticket. Which she said “our food isn’t free.” At this point I had already paid for the entire meal, I wasn’t looking for a free meal. In the end I took the other burger, because I paid for a fully cooked burger. Seems like a loss on their end, all because she didn’t want to take 1 burger off the ticket.

***NO STROLLERS***
If you are trying to eat at this establishment be aware that they will not allow you to bring strollers in because they will get fined?
The manager on duty came over to my family out of nowhere without a hello or even a kind disposition and just went into disciplining us. She said that if the general manager was there they definitely wouldnt allow it. I’ve never been to an establishment that wouldn’t allow strollers. Even 5 star restaurants that have been so accommodating. This all occurred after we had been seated and not once had been told about the strollers and nowhere on the door is it marked for no strollers. Kindness goes a long way.
