Reviews
The flavors were incredible. Potatoes were great. Bacon, cheese, avocado, eggs were great. Coffee was better. Biscuits too. I found out there’s a new owner, and the “good” has been upgraded to great. This is my 5th time back, and time to post my review. The new owner Robert is transforming this place first with all of the ingredients, and I expect everything else as well.
Today’s visit, my omelet was excellent. Ate every single bite. Rest of my party did as well. Raves for the new menu Bourbon Vanilla French toast, and the new Mexicalifornia omelet.
Other raves this month, chicken fried steak, fresh squeezed OJ, fresh orange marmalade for biscuits.
Today we had a treat with mimosas, lovely addition.
There is something special when a place that is iconic, such as Kountry Kitchen, is given care and nurturing to bring it to a new level. It is honoring memories through quality changes. In my case it’s taken a place I used to think of with a smile and now I actively want to go back, and drag people with me. It is delicious.
The service is friendly, though there is a wait time for food. Transitions take time, it was a longer wait today, but worth it, we ate every bite.
The place needs upgrades in the seating, but I know that’s coming with time, and I don’t mind a wobbly seat if I’m eating a biscuit with yummy marmalade.
I’m sure those who are not locals may not be as kind on wait times, but my review is for our locals. We all have known this spot, for decades, and I’m telling you, cone order your go-to menu items and experience the change of higher quality and fresh choices of ingredients that you will notice in the first bite.
I waited for 5 visits to post because it seemed too good to be true, and each time I’m enjoying the food more and more. No more debates about where a “good” breakfast spot it. Our town now has a GREAT one, and our whole family finally agrees on it. Kountry Kitchen.
When we arrived it was pretty slow which was great.
I always go for a good eggs benedict and got the stack – subbed the ham for bacon. It was very good!
We both cleared our entire dishes.
My boyfriend got the chicken fried steak which was also a great choice.
Service was good, nothing to rave about but surely not bad as many reviews mention.
A little pricy in my opinion, but that’s just about everywhere now.
I would have loved a breakfast mimosa though – unfortunately, no alcohol served here.
Had chicken fried steak, waffle and standard breakfast plate; all good. Prices were still reasonable. Waited a bit for food, but the kitchen is small and overworked. It’s a small town cafe; what would you expect?
Will return.
