It was not too busy when we arrived but it was later, so they ran out of two food that I wanted. Not friendly customer service, more business of taking your orders and move along, which is fine. We didn’t come there to make friends. Hehe. I ended up with just the roast chicken, which tasted fine, but I wouldn’t go back and get them. Maybe the other dishes that ran out. But the way they made their rice was very good! The fried fish was also OK. Just deep fried and simple. The Jonny cakes was delicious!

We were only on the island 5 days, and we ate here twice! The missing star was because our takeout order had all side salads instead of Johnny cakes. We were very disappointed because the Johnny cakes are so good, but it was too far to drive back. The salads are not up to the level of the rest of the food here, and the packet dressing was not very good either. Skip the greens for this meal and go 100%for the Johnny cake. Rice and beans were the best I’ve ever had. Chicken and curry chicken were both delicious!

The Half Chicken & 2 Johnny Cakes special is great! For $15, you can’t beat it! The lady taking orders can be a bit nicer, but I get it…I’m a tourist.

The chicken is the only reason to go here! All the other sides are just okay.
This place can get busy and they usually run out of items, so go before rush hours!
Only outdoor seating.

An island must have! Stop by and get the special. But hurry because they run out of some fast. Johnny cakes are the best I’ve ever had!

Busy with workers and locals getting lunch. Superb chicken, But the Johnny Cakes were like wow! I laugh at deep fried dough balls but wow they were mind blowing here! My friend got the curry chicken, seemed more exciting than my basic chicken.

Counter Service, quick and orderly for St. Croix.

Super busy on a early Monday afternoon. Johnny cakes were very good. Chicken was a little dry, I was surprised. Oxtails were very good but not much flavor. I would recommend this place, It was good. Everyone’s tastes are different..

Every time I visit home my first destination after landing is the Chicken Shack! It’s a must and the food is amazing! I recently went home with my youngest son for a CHS football team reunion and we ate at the Chicken Shack almost every day. You gotta try it… you won’t be disappointed!
