We visited T J’s Cafe in Grandview twice this year, and the experience was exactly the same:
Very good food, service and atmosphere, but both times, if you order a normal order of biscuits and gravy, you get way too much biscuit for too little gravy. We suggest going with the smallest available size for B&G.

First time visit that porvided a decent experience. Nothing bad but also nothing memorable. The food along with the service was good. The ambiance definitely provided a small town local business that could be a family outing to grab breakfast

So I stopped in here on my way home from work and the lady at the hostess took my order ….. here’s where things turned i was unsatisfied with the food so I took it back. I told the lady the French roast was dry and so favor and my potatoes were greasy. They proceeded to process my refund when the manager says so “you won’t be coming back right because there was nothing wrong with the food”.
That’s no where near customer service, I was very disappointed with the services I experienced

Always an experience here, the wide variety of people that frequent this small home owned eatery are what middle america is all about. When fast food is all around and easy to drive thru, you arrive to a place to sit down casually and take a breath. The food here is wholesome and prepared with you in mind, no hurries take your time and enjoy the peace and surroundings that make an enjoyable gathering. The menuboard offer the days specials but the real pleasure is a laidback setting to see people enjoying themselves. Having conversations and quietly waiting for the waitress to ask if a slice of pie is wanted to finish off, which is usually a no for us because the plentyful food servings are filling. Try the Grandview or the South location you will come as customers and leave as friends.

I remember having this place once before years ago. So I came again today. Here’s my review.
It looks busy but there’s plenty of room. I think they have the best pancakes. Over easy eggs and I asked for floppy bacon and they did really well. Are waitress, I don’t know what her name was but she’s very friendly.

I have had several meals here in the past few months because I moved very close to this location and I no longer cook at home. The food has never wowed me but it’s never been bad. The fried chicken special for ten dollars is an exceptional value. The service is where things go wrong. Today I was greeted with, ”do you know what you want?” I could go on and pick it to death but this was the third time service was this bad so I’ll drive the extra few miles to eat somewhere else.

Great atmosphere. Excellent service. Feels like home. Tastes like homemade. Fresh, perfectly cooked. Everyone was friendly, nice & smiles. My coffee never lacked a fill or top-off. Syrup was warm, butter spread easily. I wish I could eat here every day! Thanks for the above excellent service Destiny!!

best diner in the area. been coming here since i was a little kid (i’m 24 now) – they rebuilt a while back after a bad fire and came back better than ever. delicious fresh food, reasonable prices, fantastic service and great atmosphere. i recommend this place to all my friends 🙂
