Service was horrible. Drinks ordered were a Pepsi and 2 waters 1w/lemon. We got a Dr Pepper and 2 waters with lemon. After our order was placed we never saw our server until he brought the bill. It took 40min to get our food. Plates were brought one at a time with a minute or 2 before the next one was brought. The New Orleans menu is deceptive as it shows the chicken and shrimp meals on the front with an $11.99 price. Read the fine print because that’s only for the chicken. The shrimp price is in an obscure place elsewhere @16.49. Needless to say we will not be back. Shame because the food is so good

This Clinton location is a good Applebee’s choice. We’ve now gone twice and I would recommend hitting a time that is busier. Our Applebee’s experiences, at locations in the area, during slower periods haven’t been the best.
The BIG Bacon Classic Cheeseburger was hot and tasty again (I’ve had it twice), and at $10, it is a sweet deal, which they have recently extended due to popularity. The Riblets plate was a nice portion for a meal, and would work as a shared appetizer as well. We had the Brew Pub Pretzels & Beer Cheese Dip for our app, and liked the beer cheese sauce for sure.
EDIT 1/10/2025: Went back during a busier time on Friday evening. Everything was great except for some venting issue for a service sink at the bar (stinky). We’ve had some heavy snows and ice, so the vent might have been obstructed. Rewrote review, added photos.
EDIT 12/31/2024: Had a good follow-up call with the manager. I will say this, Applebee’s does care about your experience, and that’s a very good thing.

Ordered mozzarella sticks and onion rings for appetizers. Mozzarella sticks tasted bready, cheese is there; but it’s flavorless. Onion rings had great texture and taste.
Ordered a cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, bourbon Swiss burger, and whiskey bacon burger. All were subpar.
Cheeseburger had translucent lettuce that should been thrown out a few days prior, overripe tomatoes to include one with part of the stem.
Chicken sandwich was dry and flavorless.
Bourbon Swiss burger was flavorless. No taste of Swiss or anything aside from a muted hint of beef.
Whiskey bacon burger had way overcooked bacon, beef tasted like it was boiled removing nearly all beef taste, and it also had translucent lettuce on it.
Fries were great. Ranch dipping sauce was extremely good.
Service was slower, believe it was due to the kitchen being slammed; very popular place for some odd reason. Server did her best. Definitely not a place to eat at the price point, McDonald’s or Burger King are better and that says a lot.

Took 40 mins to get our drinks. Reminded the server and she apologized 10 times and then didn’t come with our drinks for another 15mins! We wanted to split a bill and it took 3 people including the manager about 30mins to figure out how to split a bill. Our appetizer was on the table for a while before they came with drinks. Food was the only redeemable quality to this place but the service was the worst I’ve ever had. Spent 2 hours here when it should’ve been 45 mins. Manager told me he gave me 50% off for our troubles, but it was only about 10% off of my total. Completely disorganized they even made me pay for what appears to be another table’s food because of how confused they are by their receipts. Ate here for many years but it has gone way downhill.

We stopped here for lunch on the way to Buc-ee’s. I ordered the Tex mex shrimp bowl and my husband ordered the fajita roll up wrap. Both were fresh and tasty, also a great value on the lunch menu. Service was friendly and fast. I hadn’t been to an Applebee’s in a while but after today, I will be back!

I would leave no stars if I could. One drink was not served until almost the end of our meal. Food was not served all at once. Missing several items from our meals. Food was served cold. There were chunks of nasty yellow stuff in my daughter’s yogurt. Server acted like he didn’t know what he was doing and the manager didn’t know how to run his restaurant. Very poor service. Do not recommend.

It was very good Applebee’s is pretty much pretty good whichever one I have eaten at. They’re consistently good everywhere. I tried the new grilled cheese cheese burger my wife and I both had it, it was wonderful, awesome, and all around great. Our waitress Elizabeth (Clinton location) was terrific she checked on us several times got us refills and asked how are meals were outstanding service.

My husband and I rarely go out. First off server took drink order. We waited over 15 mins. She comes back and ask what we order she stated she had a brain fart couldn’t remember. Another 15 mins. Before drinks She took order I order 8 oz. Steak med. Husband ordered same but rare. He got green beans I had salad. Took over 30 mins for salad. Oh we where seated by kitchen. Over heard someone saying salad dressing bad. Scared to eat it so ate it plain. Finally 45 mins got meal. Plates mixed up I got rare. Instead of med. We were so disgusted with service and food. Got go containers waited another 15 mins for Bill. We won’t be back.

We havent eaten at an Applebees in a long time since so many have closed. The food was fine but service was very slow. Latoya was our server and seemed very disorganized and overwhelmed. She had no ability to multitask. I find it highly annoying when we are done and have to wait for the bill and a carryout box. It was an early lunch and it was not that busy.
