Went gardening before this and it was delicious. Would prefer more bbq sauce on the pulled pork sandwich but the potato salad was good/little too much onion and the baked potato was also good. Overall 7.5/10

The food is amazing, portions are great and cost friendly. The pulled pork and the brisket was some of the best we have had since moving from the south. We also loved the potato salad. Truly hope this place stays around so we are sharing this to everyone we know. Go to The Boss, you will not regret it.

Been wanting to try this place out and finally did today. My mouth is still watering. I got the brisket sandwich with potato salad on the side. The sandwich and side were both generous portions and well worth the price. Pickles and onions on the sandwich were a great touch and the brisket was piled high smoky deliciousness. Will be back for sure!

Took a drive today and passed this place and decided to give it a try. Solidly a deal in downtown Olympia. My husband had the burger which was a fresh patty and delicious with fresh veggies. He inhaled it before I could grab a photo. I got the brisket plate and the portions were huge. This photo is after I ate quite a bit. Potato salad was clearly homemade and yummy. Beans are meaty and also clearly homemade too. The brisket portion was huge for the price and so good with his bbq sauce. Even with the great prices I note he uses all biodegradable packaging which we know costs more. We had a good time eating and people watching while enjoying the waterfront breeze. Yes, there are a few tables there to sit and enjoy. I highly recommend trying it. Some darn good bbq!

The pulled pork and brisket were cooked great and had excellent flavor. The BBQ sauce is gluten free and non gmo. Flavor on the beans was really nice, just a small amount of heat. Worth the stop – be hungry, the portions are generous. Really friendly owner. Support this small business.

Just ate here for the first time and we can’t wait to go back! Pretty sure I said “Mmm” with every bite. I had the smoked pulled pork sandwich with potato salad (happy to hear they make their own!), and my partner had the brisket and beans – we both enjoyed our meals! Go hungry and mow down
