This place is great on all counts. The waitresses are just very friendly and happy in their work. It makes a difference. The food was terrific. I had a wedge with blue cheese and bacon strips, not bits strips which was delicious and my girlfriend had the fish and chips, which again was outstanding. This is just a great place and I’m glad we discovered it.

Brooks Tavern was packed on MLK day. My friends and I had a day of retail therapy and an amazing lunch. We were seated within 10 minutes. Our waiter was fantastic! He was helpful with suggestions of multiple menu items and kept refills coming. He was very attentive, despite the crowd. The portion sizes were very generous for all meals. We had a burger and fries, chicken tenders meal w mustard sauce, mac n cheese, a cup of corn chowder and the apple brie and turkey sandwich. All were delicious. Several doggy bags went home. We will be back!

We arrived late to our Airbnb and were looking for a quick but delicious bite to eat, so we stopped in here—and it did not disappoint! Our waitress was excellent and had great recommendations, especially the fried chicken sandwich. We also ordered the buffalo chicken egg roll as an appetizer, which was delicious as well.

We stopped in for lunch on Sunday around 12:45 pm. We were told it would be a 20-minute wait, which was fine by us…the place smelled great and the atmosphere was relaxed. About 35 minutes later we were seated. No big deal since it was busy, and our server at least stopped to introduce herself, which I appreciated as someone who’s worked in restaurants for over 25 years.
When Sophia came by, we ordered everything at once…two glasses of wine, deviled eggs to start, and two burgers with fries. Drinks came quickly, though we never got water. Our food arrived but no deviled eggs; turns out that ticket was never put in, so they came much later while we were already eating.
The burgers were tasty, but the details were off. My fiancé’s burger was missing the bacon we ordered, and the jalapeños were cut so thick they overwhelmed the bite. For a server writing everything down, the mistakes were surprising.
The food and atmosphere were great, but the service felt rushed and careless. As locals, we want to support neighborhood spots, but the lack of attention to detail makes us hesitant to return.

It’s a bit pricy as everything is à la carte. 3 people with soda and app was $90. The burger was good but not the best. The server was excellent and friendly!

Nice little place off Main St. with good food and a cozy atmosphere. My daughter had chicken wings and I had the fish and chips. Both were very yummy! We shared the candied bacon which was so delicious! The young lady who served us was very nice and attentive. We will return!

What an excellent experience my husband and I have had dining here, we’ve even brought family to come have a meal with up. Absolutely lovely staff, and delicious food. They were even kind enough to hang onto my coffee mug after I left it behind, even though I was sad they dumped it out, they were kind enough to wash it out for me. Which was super sweet. Thank you for the excellent food and the kindness towards myself, my husband and family.

I’ve been to many restaurants over the years, and while I always hope for good food, I always feel that my best dining experiences have come from good service. And I could not have been more impressed by the one I had here thanks to your wonderful server, Ricardo. He was incredibly personable, and as visitors to a new town, made my party and I feel very welcomed. He was quite good with his food suggestions, too, as I’ve been raving about your smash burger and fries since I had it. And the house-made ranch! Absolutely delicious. I will be sure to return the next time I’m in town!

Cozy, historic atmosphere with great service and a very friendly staff. My fiancé and I shared the fried mushrooms as an appetizer, and we both ordered the smash burger for our entrées. Everything was delicious, and we really enjoyed our experience. Highly recommend!

Sat at the bar two different times. Very friendly quick service even when crowded. Enjoyed a delicious BLT while my son ate a delicious steak with mashed potatoes and vegetable. French fries that came with a sandwich were excellent. Salad was delicious and fresh. Headed back there soon to try something else on the menu. Parking was easy on Church Street. I’ve been telling my friends about it ever since. Excited about my return visit tomorrow. Come to think of it I ate there about a year ago not remembering anything other than the lovely people we ended up eating dinner with because they have a family table where two parties might dine together if they’re so inclined. We made good friends and ate great food and I’m embarrassed to tell you I can’t remember what I had then but liked it 🙂
