They did a great job. The view was fantastic, right next to the locks, you can’t beat the location. My salad, soup, and crab-stuffed shrimp were all really good. Melissa, our server, was friendly and did a fantastic job. For a small town, this place is a real gem.

Stopped in for lunch after visiting the Locks and shops. Was busy but didn’t have to wait long for a table. Loved the menu selection and the story. Good food fast and hot. Upstairs was closed unfortunately, would have liked to see the view.

My girlfriend and I were starving when we got back from an afternoon in the Canadian Soo, and while looking up local eateries that were open on Labor Day, we came upon Lockview Restaurant. Once we saw they had pasties on their menu, we were sold! The pasties were delicious with gravy, and the onion rings were beyond amazing! The interior decor was wonderful with all the nautical themes, and the view of the ships passing through the locks was definitely the cherry on top! We’ll definitely be back!

Recently stopped here with my wife for dinner. We were on our 30th Anniversary road trip. The food & atmosphere were amazing!! Great service with an amazing view of the Soo Locks. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in town or traveling through. We will definitely be back. Thank you for an amazing experience!!

I was very excited about this place because I love seafood. The first time we went the wait was too long, about an hour, that we had to return next day. We waited for about 15 minutes to get seated. The food was bland. I got whitefish and my husband steak. The atmosphere wasn’t anything special. Waiters were OK. I was expecting a little more. The location is perfect on the main street in town.

10/10 for vegetarians, despite the extensive fish menu. I was hesitant but was pleasantly surprised.
The baked potato: I was able to have it loaded with mushrooms!
The rice was great, but soft. I don’t mind that.
The “today’s vegetables” were terrific!
Honestly so good. The service and staff and kind. Everyone’s meals on the menu were on point and on time. Would go again in a heartbeat

Off season so not crowded at all. Fish done 6 ways. An absolute must try is the whitefish chowder. Our server was delightful and efficient. The kitchen was fast as well.

We had a great meal at the Lockview. We weren’t given the option to sit upstairs, but if given the option, I would recommend it as it’s a bit more updated, nicer atmosphere and better view.
Neither level have that great of a view of the ships / locks…. Views are fairly obstructed.
But the food and service was good, and I would recommend it. Fresh fish caught locally.

We drove as far north as we could in Michigan. We visited the Locks. Very interesting. Right across the street is The
Lockview Restaurant. An older local restaurant fun of eclectic decor highlighting the St Mary’s River. The food was delicious. Just what we needed. Service was good. We enjoyed our visit. Go try it when in that area.
Then go across the street & see how the Locks get the ships moving.

This restaurant is in a very convenient location in the Locks area, making it a great spot to stop for a meal. The fish is incredibly fresh, be sure to ask for the catch of the day for the best experience. The side dishes are well-portioned, and the servings are generous. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. It’s a popular spot, and for good reason, the quality of the food is excellent. I highly recommend it!
