The Mexicano absolutely knocked it out of the park! We ordered the birria enchilada and the protein bowl, and both were outstanding.

The birria enchilada was packed with rich, slow-cooked flavor — tender, juicy meat with that perfect balance of spices and sauce. Every bite was incredible. The protein bowl was fresh, filling, and loaded with quality ingredients. You could really taste how fresh everything was.

Service was friendly and attentive, our server Ashley took care of our every need. The atmosphere was welcoming and clean. Portions were generous and worth every penny.

The management team all stopped by our table to check to ensure we were satisfied. Eddie was extremely hospitable and very professional!

We’ll definitely be back — highly recommend The Mexicano if you’re looking for authentic, flavorful Mexican food done right!

This place was so good! We went to Scheels and saw this restaurant on the way. Decided to try it because we had eaten at The Delicatessen by Chef Joey and that was really good so we figured The Mexicano had to be also. The staff was friendly. Eddie made sure we were comfortable and got us water. Cassidy was our waitress and she was awesome. The food was the best we’ve had from any Mexican restaurant. The sauce over our burrito was delicious. The pork empanadas were light and flaky and full of yumminess. The churros were the best we’ve ever had. Light and soft inside with a little crunch outside. The sauces were really good (chocolate, tres leches & caramel). Eddie came by a few times to make sure everything was ok. Cassie checked on us to make sure we didn’t need anything. A delightful experience. It wasn’t crowded, but we went after the lunch crowd. The interior is wheelchair friendly. We will be back. I want to try the tacos and the cookie dessert next.

Update:
Came back today 1/31/26 yo celebrate a friend’s birthday. Everything was great, especially the Sonoran Molcajete. We all got tacos and they were delicious. Our waitress, Maitland K, was amazing.

First time visiting and the atmosphere was absolutely amazing! We had Erica as our server, and she was fantastic. She recommended the Ferris wheel of salsas, queso, and guacamole, and everything was delicious. We only stopped in for drinks and chips this time, so we didn’t get to try any of the entrées, but Erica took the time to explain the menu and gave us great recommendations. She also mentioned there’s a DJ on Fridays and Saturdays, which sounds like a lot of fun. My family and I will definitely be back—and we’ll be asking for Erica again. 10/10 experience!

We had an amazing experience at The Mexicano! Our server, Valerie S, was incredible—friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. She made the whole evening smooth and enjoyable.

The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish came out fresh and full of flavor. We also loved the DJ and the live entertainment—it brought such a fun, energetic vibe to the restaurant.

And the shot cart (yes, especially the shot cart!) was a huge hit. Super tasty and such a great touch to the overall experience.

Highly recommend Mexicano for a night out with great food, great service, and great vibes. We’ll definitely be back!

This place is a winner. I love seeing places like this expanding. We’ve needed more upscale Mexican restaurants in the valley for some time and The Mexicano delivers. Atmosphere is modern styling with great lighting to highlight some traditional cultural decor elements. Food was great. I had the molcajete and it was very tasty. Give this place a try.

Friendly staffs, our server is very attentive and polite. 4 stars on the food bc the steak is a little bit chewy. But other than that, everything is great.

This restaurant definitely has visual appeal. Lots of lights music in the background. The service was great and everyone was friendly and hospitable. I simply was not impressed with the food, nothing was exceptional in flavor or taste. A bit disappointed chips and salsa was good.

We had a great experience at The Mexicano. The food was excellent, and the service was absolutely on point . Our servers were very attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere was also a highlight, we dined outside, which made the meal even more enjoyable.
My sister and daughter ordered the shrimp tacos and birria tacos and loved them. My son had the birria ramen and absolutely tore it up . No leftovers in sight. I went with the cheese enchiladas, and they were really good. The sauce was rich, tasty, and full of flavor.
Overall, great food, great service, and a great vibe. Definitely a place we’d come back to.

If I could give The Mexican more than five stars, I would—because honestly, they’ve cracked the code on how to turn “going out to dinner” into “unexpectedly joining the best party of your life.”

First off: make-your-own margaritas. Yes, you read that right. They hand you the tools of happiness and trust you to do the rest. It’s like being a kid again—only this time with tequila and better decision-making (mostly).

The atmosphere is electric. Picture vibrant décor, a live DJ spinning beats that make even your fajitas sizzle, and—wait for it—dancing robots. Yes, actual robots grooving between tables like they just clocked out of a Daft Punk concert.

The food? Unreal. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The fresh-made tortillas alone deserve their own fan club. Each bite feels like it was handcrafted with love and maybe a little bit of salsa magic.

And let’s talk service—friendly, fast, and full of personality. You can tell the staff genuinely enjoy what they do (and who wouldn’t, with robots as co-workers?).

Bottom line: The Mexican isn’t just a restaurant—it’s an experience. Come hungry, come thirsty, and come ready to dance.
