Longtime choice serving a large menu of sandwiches, comfort food & hearty breakfasts in homey digs.

My wife and I came to this restaurant this morning on our daughter’s recommendation. The food was not only delicious but also generous in portion, and we even took the leftovers home. The prices were reasonable, and the staff were especially kind and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone reading this.
We came from Korea to visit our daughter in Solon, and it’s unfortunate that we must return this Thursday. When we come back again in January, we plan to visit often.
I wish the owner and all the staff a joyful holiday season and a wonderful New Year.
See you again next year!

We stopped by while running errands based on friends’ recommendations. The food itself was good, but the service was terrible.
We weren’t brought napkins, they were out of pastrami, and we waited a long time for our Reuben. When it finally arrived, it was cold — and we didn’t even have forks, so we had to ask for everything.
Our server seemed surprised every time she came to our table that we still didn’t have our food, as if it wasn’t her responsibility.
When I asked to speak to a manager, they gave us a $4 discount and explained it was because they were very busy. But what does being busy have to do with serving cold food? I would have much preferred getting our food on time instead of a $4 discount.
Overall, the experience was very disappointing.

Very good food! The Breakfast Bundle was very satisfying, with 3 pieces of Challah Bread French Toast, 2 eggs, 3 strips of bacon for only $13. And as can be seen from the photo, I didn’t like it much, . The Classic Breakfast Sandwich on a croissant was huge, with a large portion of hash browns & onions, for only $12. Food came out quick, Janice, our server, was very nice and attentive.

Terrible! Had steak and eggs. Discovered hair in my eggs. I didnt complain or say a word. The waitress saw what I was pulling out of my eggs and apologized! The came back to say it was my hair. Yes I do Have 2 braided ponytails with a hint of blonde. But come on, I didnt cook the eggs. Also, which I reminded my waitress, there are 2 young ladies on your food line with blonde hair. How dare you blame a customer! Never returning

I tried the Chicago Deli today for the dine in experience. I have had their food before because they had catered company events for me. If you arrive before 3p.m. you can order the choice of half sandwich (pastrami, ham or corned beef) with soup for $9.99. The website still has $7.99, so they need to update that. The staff was very nice and the food was tasty. I also had the Wednesday special of beef stroganoff for $11.99. I felt that that the beef stroganoff had lots of noodles, meat and gravy, but lacked flavour, so I was disappointed by this dish. I also had a slice of lemon meringue pie and it was just ok. Next time, I will get everything for dine in.

The last two times I have gotten food from here the food has been awful!
Last night I ordered a Reuben sandwich to go.
I believe the person making the sandwich literally hates their job and should not have ever let that sandwich leave the restaurant.
I asked for a lean corn beef and received the nastiest dried out corn beef that I have ever seen in my life! The bread was Totally soggy. The sandwich was thrown together like it was a 2 year-old who didn’t care. No thousand Island dressing on the side and the ratio of sauerkraut was disgusting. My wife had a chicken club and it was not much better. $49 for 2 nasty sandwiches. I threw my food away after the second bite.

Paprikash was so dry. Server offered more sauce to fix the problem. We were charged $1 extra to make the food edible. Server did not mention additional cost nor should there have been. Manager kept repeating it is their policy. Eat somewhere else where it doesn’t cost extra to be able to eat the food. This restaurant used to be crowded. Perhaps it is not the economy but the policies that left it rather empty instead.

Gyro , not great. Meat thin, wrap is unusually flat and hard. Onions and tomatoes are not cooked and cut into tiny squares like a pizza topping. Don’t think the cook ever saw or ate a gyro before won’t order that again. Worse Gyro I ever had. I don’t think you could make this meal any worse if you tried. Waitress was very nice.

5 stars because I truly was impressed with their Mediterranean sampler. Fresh veggies and strong flavors. The variety of different food items is a wow, too. My friend had a French dip and it was good according to her.
