I have been to Shady’s Burger a couple of times before and I know it’s a good place for burgers. However, earlier today I ordered a Holy Guacamole Burger with sweet potato fries and my burger was missing the guacamole and it was raw. Not even pink, but raw when I had requested for my burger to be cooked well done.
I called the business and the manager did handle the situation well and reimbursed me and offered to remake another burger for me. I declined since I was not in the mood for another burger and had places to be.
The reason I am posting this is to bring awareness to the business to please do better and listen to customers request on how they want their burger cooked. I have attached a picture of the burger below.
Ps. The sweet fries were delicious though.

We ordered the hood burger, tail gator and the kids burger meal. The food was delicious as always. Perfectly cooked medium. The venue was a little loud because they had a band playing outside and the gates were open.

I’ve only been to Dallas twice, and I coincidentally have also been to Shady’s twice. Both times have been very good experiences, and I see why my friends regularly go here!
On my most recent visit, Casey was our server, and she was the bomb. She was on top of everything, including keeping my water full!
My favorite food is fried pickles, and omg. Theirs are perfect!!! They are crispy with a perfect ratio of batter and pickle. And the full order is huge–literally the most generous order of fried pickles I have EVER seen!
My burger was also great, and the side salad (needed some greenery) was a very generous size for a side salad! We also had two children with us, and Casey ensured they had everything they needed. We also wanted to watch a specific basketball game, and she also got that on the TV.
What a great spot!!!

I LOVE Shady’s. Their patio is absolutely gorgeous, especially when the big oak tree is lit up! Their frozen margaritas are good and decently priced (or were, until recent price hikes pushed them from $5.50 to $8.50). The fried pickles and jalapenos are amazing–as are the tots!
The burgers are excellent, as are the tacos, wraps, and salads.
Sides are “hit or miss.” When they “hit,” the sides, including tots, fries, homemade tortilla/potato chips, and fried jalapenos and pickles are AMAZING and among the best I’ve ever had. When they “miss,” the sides are “just okay” and similar to what you’d get anywhere else.
My dog also loves Shady’s! He always orders a plain chicken breast with cheddar cheese. It’s his fav!

Thirsty Dallas
On December 24th, my mother-in-law accidentally left her purse here. When the restaurant was closing, the staff kept it safe, and when we stopped by first thing on December 26th, they immediately knew exactly which purse it was.
My mother-in-law is from Mexico and had a flight in just two hours, so this situation could have been incredibly stressful. Instead, thanks to the honesty and kindness of the staff, everything was handled with such care and ease. The manager/lady who helped us was one of the nicest people we’ve ever met.
My husband and I just moved nearby and come here often—we already knew the staff was wonderful, but this experience truly went above and beyond. We couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you so much for your honesty and kindness.

We were looking for a different cool place to eat and I’d been seeing this place every time we went to Andy’s and suggested we try it out since we were taking our Daughter and Granddaughter to brunch. As soon as we walked in, everyone was very friendly and we were seated right away. Our Server Leo was very nice and attentive. We all tried different burgers and Patti melts, along with their fried pickles, oh so good and their delicious fries and large onion rings. I suggest you share. Our burgers were so delicious and big. The atmosphere was very laid back and cool. I most definitely will be going back.

I had the New Pork on the Block burger, and it was amazing. My partner had the Ruben with chips. We also had fried pickles, which is my only complaint. The pickles are a little too salty and could have been fried a little longer.

We sat on the patio on a heated windy day in Texas(yup, hard to believe, I know!) With all of the fans, the Misters, & shade actually made it quite pleasurable. I definitely enjoyed the HOOD burger. I made mine without the buns, added meat to make it 3x the beef, & egg to top it off. I asked for medium rare. I WASN’T disappointed! Sweet Potato fries were cooked just right, and quanity was flowing! Chase was our waiter, us as a group enjoyed this down to earth person. Every question we asked about our order, he had the right answer! ✅️ You found a gem. He dedicated his time to us and didn’t just rush to the next table. Very hard to find genuine people now days. If you get a chance. Ask for him, he’d be glad to serve you. I’m adding a few from our group.

I visited this place in person a couple of times and at the first visit I had fish/chips and they were great so the second time I ordered it again, however, this time 2 out of 3 fish pieces were undercooked with batter still being wet inside especially since it’s so thick. I didn’t complain, just noted before i left to the waiter to make sure they cook fish all the way. Then I placed a pickup order, and the fish was not cooked again. Didn’t say anything again. Today I placed an online pick-up order and in notes I specified to make sure fish is cooked through and this is what I received – totally over fried, with only breading remaining, fish melted away inside and can barely be chewed. I guess i need to find another fish/chips place going forward.
Response to the owner: Thank you for responding and for being willing to address this. I just want to clarify one thing: this is not about personal preference. I simply do not want to eat raw batter or undercooked fish.
When I order delivery, whether at work or at home, it is difficult to have an issue corrected on the spot unless a manager is able to remake the order or cover a replacement delivery. I understand that staff turnover is a challenge in the restaurant business, but at this time I would recommend providing additional training for kitchen staff on properly preparing fish. The batter should not be too thick, and the oil must be at the correct temperature so the fish is cooked thoroughly without being over-fried.
I may give it another month and try ordering again to see how things go. You might also consider placing an order yourself anonymously to experience what customers are receiving.
It is otherwise a nice little spot, and I genuinely hope your business continues to be successful.
