My husband loves seafood particularly shrimp. After having the prawns here he didn’t eat prawns for 2 months. That’s how bad it was. Tasted like plastic. Well never go back again.

We saw the 3 stars, but we wanted to give them a try.
Unfortunately,
we know why it has poor stars.
Chicken Chapsuey was terrible
The fried rice was not fried rice
It was just plain heated rice.
We will not be back.
Save your money. I’m telling y’all.
And very very expensive!
One of the dishes was like 62 dollars!

We had a good laugh while eating at this place and afterwards. 4 of us went for supper and two of us ordered combos, while the other two ordered from the “chef’s specials” section of the menu. The meals came out one at a time, about 10 minutes apart, so it was nice to eat our meals at seperate times so the ones served early could watch the rest finish theirs. A new dining experience is always refreshing. The “almond” chicken from the “chef’s specials” was a pile (literally a pile) of deep fried chicken with peanuts sprinkled on top (about 3 chicken breasts deep fried with a tablespoon of crushed peanuts as a garnish). There must have been almonds hiding in the batter or something to earn it’s name. Such value though! 3 pounds of deep fried meat keeps you feeling full for hours!
One person ordered a side of rice to accompany their meal to which the waitress replied with the question “steamed or fried?”. She chose steamed to which the waitress replied “we only have fried”. Glad she had the option though! The combos were alright… Large portions of seemingly reheated food. Overall we had a great time, 5/5.

Side of the highway, dinner was great. Real Chinese food with real Chinese people. So nice and they even managed to be so nice my son thought they were family.

The fact that there are very few restaurants in Burns Lake must be the main reason that this location is able to remain open. The food here is absolutely horrible. I have to give them credit for being consistent though, because their food is consistently awful. The deep fried prawns are so greasy that the grease soaked through the takeout container and left a large sized puddle on my kitchen counter. The chowmein is quite simply, Mr.Noodles or Ichiban with a couple pieces of vegetable and some fake meat chucked on top. If i have to choose between eating at the Panhandle or going hungry, going hungry wins hands down every time. I’d rather light my money on fire than spend it on the nasty fare they attempt to pass off as food here.

I Paid over $70 for several plates of Chinese food, which appeared to be nothing but ichiban and sliced packaged sandwich meat.
When I got home, I 1st thought it was a joke.
But no. It was huge waste of money.
Instead I ate an old sandwich and went to sleep hungry.
Never ordering from there again.
Save your time and money.
Make a sandwich instead.

Fish n chips was prefrozen, TV dinner style, with chips. Chop Suey meat was sparse. For two people $73 bill.
