La Rancherita is such a vibe
A lovely Mexican spot in downtown Apex with really good food. We tried the ACP and chicken chimichangas and both were amazing. The spicy tamarind margarita was tangy and spicy but totally manageable
The ambience and service were great. We had to wait about 20 minutes since it was a Friday evening but it was completely worth it.

Flavorful food, affordable prices, friendly staff, and inviting atmosphere! One of my favorites in the area. We love anything with the grilled chicken. They went all out with the holiday decorations and it looks amazing. Great place!

Great presentation of a menu somewhere between authentic Mexican and TexMex. And that’s not a bad thing. The servers were super friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. Intimate restaurant definitely worth trying.

I went here with a party of more than seven people to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and while I’ve heard great things about the food, I don’t think it compares well to other Mexican restaurants in the nearby. The taste of the range of dishes we ordered was passable. You won’t be able to park your car on the street because it’s in the heart of the city, but you may park ten blocks away in the designated parking lots. All in all, my recommendation is to visit this restaurant only if you want to take in the lovely scenery outdoors and super hungry!

The food was pretty good and the service was very helpful. Our waiter was bilingual so whether you speak English or Spanish, someone can help you. There was no wait and we were able to be seated immediately (this was on a Saturday evening).
One downside is that the menu could be improved slightly. They offer lots of tacos, but there is no option to pick which combination you want. They provide set combos and you have to pick from those. I would recommend changing this. Other than that everything was good.

The food and service were great. The shrimp tacos, rice, and beans that I ordered were all very flavorful and a good deal for the price. I consider this place to be a step above the average Mexican restaurant quality. Even the free salsa and chips were delightful. For lunch, it was a laid back atmosphere and great experience all together. I look forward to trying out some of the other dishes in the future.

great place with an extensive menu. the portions were also good for the price, we all left really full. the best part were their margaritas. we were all surprised by how strong they were. i definitely recommend! i plan to come back and try thier jumbo size. the eventual goal will be to come back with a group of (minimum 4) and get the tower. we also stayed a bit after our meal to continue catching up and we did not feel rushed to leave at all until it was 10 minutes to closing. i would definitely come back here and i recommend it to everyone in the area!

2024: Good place, especially for lunch! Fajitas and combo quesadillas were solid and well enough portioned for a lunch size. Pleasantly decorated inside. Salsa and refried beans were unique and delicious in particular.
