This is a traditional Greek diner with a warm, friendly atmosphere. The service is quick and the food is good. This is my go to place between NY and MA. Easily accessible off Exit 55 , route 95. Great way to avoid the crowded rest areas and get healthier food.

Decent Little diner close to the highway exit ramp. Plenty of parking and plenty of seating inside. The menu isn’t as big as some diners you might visit, especially in the tri-state area, but their offerings are good. The food I had was prepared fresh, the only grape would be that they gave me iceberg lettuce instead of mixed greens. But that might have been due to a shortage and not the norm.
The staff is friendly and service was okay. Nothing to write home about.

I love this place. I’m comfortable with the food and usually enjoy it. I also think the prices are amazing. It can get busy and it can be difficult to find parking, but usually isn’t too bad.

The food is always a hit or miss for ME. I am honestly really picky and will try to order things I don’t know if I will like. However, I think most people like it. The Greek lasagna (pictured) didn’t do it for me. I liked the cheese soufflé layer on top. I still give it 5 stars cause honestly I’m pretty sure I’m the issue. My boyfriend loved this. We did order a special which came with the pie!

They have the BEST pie and cake. It’s honestly my favorite. Their burgers are always juicy and delicious.

I have never had any issue with the servers and genuinely been really happy here. It’s a diner and is diner food, but of all the ones I have been to this is my FAVORITE.

I stopped in for a quick breakfast during my 30-minute lunch break and ordered a coffee, chocolate milk, and a ham & cheese omelet with home fries. It took almost my entire lunch break just to receive the food.

When it finally arrived, the plate was visibly dirty. I rubbed the surface with my finger and grime came off — clearly not food residue. The waiter saw it and called over the manager, who attempted to claim it was residue from the food, which was not true. It took actual scrubbing to remove it.

Given the unsanitary condition of the plate and the excessive wait time, I told them I would not be paying for the meal. I did, however, offer to pay for the coffee and chocolate milk. They charged me $9 for those two items.

Between dirty dishes, poor service, long wait times, and being overcharged, I will never return. The phrase “the customer is always right” clearly isn’t part of their culture — even when the customer truly is right.

Very disappointing experience.

The Branford Parthenon Diner, under the incredible, dedicated stewardship of John and Kostas, is far more than just a restaurant – it’s a beloved cornerstone of the local community. Their family business carries a legacy that spans years, and it shines through in every detail of the experience, and their dedication to community engagement and outreach.

From the moment you walk in, the genuine hospitality that John, Kostas, and their team exude makes you feel instantly welcome. They are truly dedicated to their customers and their locale.

Beyond the fantastic atmosphere, the quality of the cooking is consistently superb. Whether you’re craving a classic breakfast, a satisfying lunch, or a comforting dinner, the food is fresh, high-quality, and delicious every time.

The best diner experience I’ve ever had in Connecticut. Great vibes, delicious food, and my server Kyle was peak professionalism and made sure I had everything I needed. Definitely coming back next time I’m on the coast.

They serve hot fries with hot oil directly in styrofoam container. Guess what happens? You guessed it melts right through. I threw them away. I should have have ordered deep fried styrofoam. I mean might as well. Went second time and third time and told them to put something deli paper in between. Like I asked for a liver. Do these people know how important is the costumer? Pickle got smaller and smaller now it is slices because is less. They just cut more and more portions but remain Michelin stars restaurant prices. with styrofoam containers. Rude staff the management mostly and the workers look like they are punished workers. I would have that attitude only if I am not getting paid.

It’s a cute spot with great service but not great food. The beef stew was good, but everything else was a miss.

The place is very cozy and cute though, classic vintage diner look. The staff was very pleasant and the coffee was hot!

Overall, I probably won’t be back again but it could be great for someone!

Parthenon Diner offers a great variety of dishes on its menu, and you can enjoy breakfast anytime. I highly recommend the artisan sandwiches. The pastrami sandwich is awesome, but the short rib grilled cheese is especially delicious. The staff here are also really friendly and welcoming, adding to the enjoyable dining experience.

Great selection and food. My mimosa looked like a tequila sunrise! It was very good. I had a boring meal of eggs and home fries, but their home fries are delicious (asked for them “well done”). My companion got a special kind of French toast that was “stuffed” from the specials menu (for the life of me, I cannot recall the name), and that was amazing as well. You can’t go wrong!

Updated… went there for breakfast this morning and got an item on the specials called the Jimmy Bowl, which was eggs, chorizo sausage, peppers, rice, onion , cheese, “home fries” and avocado. I was a little disappointed in seeing that they’ve changed their home fries to hash browns (shredded potato). It was still really good though.
