Hands down the best Mexican food in eastern Tennessee. Coming from a California Latino native who has searched out the best Mexican in the western border states I can say this is the best sit down I’ve found so far. Contenders like La Esperanza and La Herradura just don’t match up. Not everything was top notch and this rating isnt a national rating but local and relative to the competition.
The chips were made in house and were not too greasy or salty. The house salsa was made from fresh tomatoes , cilantro and onions. This is the best carne asada I’ve found. Tender and flavorful, not rubbery and old but cooked to order.
If you’re in Oakridge give them a shot, heck I drove out of the way and was not disappointed. That sampler you see in the photo was $15. The portions were very generous

The food i ordered was awful very salty, the salsa was from a freshly opened can. Best part was the shredded lettuce, sour cream and the staff. I wouldn’t recommend and won’t be returning.

I wish I could rate it 4.5 stars. The staff was very friendly and our food came out quick. It wasn’t the best Mexican food I’ve ever had but certainly not the worst. It was decorated very nice inside. This was our 2nd visit since it has opened and we’ll be going back again for sure.

I order the alambre almost once a month, always good , recently due to tooth decay I’m unable to eat crunchy so I ordered the alambre with the bacon light cook. Instead I got the most over cooked food ever, my jaw still hurts has I type this review . I could just take back but I couldn’t because the money that I have for dinner was all the money that I have and I don’t drive so I need to get Uber or Lyft to get anywhere. My problem is that I feel like it was made overcooked on purpose.

First time here. Walked right in and got a booth at 12:30 for lunch, it was busy but not crowded. I was waiting on right away and brought a fantastic salsa and warm chips. I ordered the chicken with peppers, mushrooms and rice. It was served to my table in less than 5 minutes. The plate was huge and it took everything I had to finish. It cost a bit more than I would have normally paid for a lunch plate, but like I said it was gigantic, so I was comfortable paying the $11.99. I will definitely be going back. The staff and my waiter were all extremely friendly and pleasant.

Not too impressed. Average Mexican cuisine. Service was not very good. The A/C was not working or something we were sooooo hot and just trying to get our check and boxes and we waited over 35 minutes. Salsa and cheese dip are average. Margarita’s same.

Normally I get enchiladas or something I’ve had many times. Decided to try the Shrimp A La Diabla and I was shocked. Best “BBQ” sauce on those shrimp ever. I could’ve drank a pint of that stuff. Will definitely try again some day.
