Delicious baked brie and waffle. The baked beans were the surprise star, and the mini smoothie very refreshing.
Service was good.
There was live music on a Saturday morning which was very nice, but made it a little hard for conversation. The chairs are very heavy!

Hunter’s Public House is one of my favourite spots in the city! I love that they take reservations, which makes planning a night out so easy. The patio is beautiful and such a great place to relax with friends. The service is consistently excellent—special shout out to Alexa, who went absolutely above and beyond for us. She was friendly, attentive, and made the evening feel extra special.
The menu is impressively large, and while that usually makes me worry about quality, this place is the exception—everything I’ve tried has been delicious. I also really appreciate their wide selection of non-alcoholic beers, which is something you don’t see often. The restaurant itself is spotless, and the noise level is just right—energetic without being overwhelming. Overall, Hunter’s Public House is a gem, and I can’t wait to come back again and again!

I had the tacos, absolutely filled with meat, pulled pork was very flavourful, my favourite, next time I will try the fried fish, 2 tacos is plenty, topped with salsa (could have been fresher) many choices of sides to pick from, I chose tomato bisque, could have used a bit more seasoning but that is just my personal preference. Service was excellent, Ali is very attentive , a great server. Next time I go I will make sure to sit in his section.

Hunter’s is just amazing. My boyfriend and I go practically every tuesday for trivia. I love doing trivia there it’s so fun. The staff are amazing and very friendly and have now recognized us that they remember our drink orders which is just very amazing of them to do. The food is really good, dont think I ever had a bad experience with their food. They have the best wings I ever had in Ottawa. Would very much recommend Hunter’s to everyone.

Ending March break with my 2 daughters at Hunter Public House. This is my third time coming back to this local restaurant myself and my kids were first time so they were exciting about this place. Staffs are friendly and the place is cozy and they do have the patio too. The food was excellent. I had Big Crunch Burger. My two daughters had fish and chips, double smoked bacon fettuccine. We really enjoyed the excellent foods. I almost forgot the Pork Belly Tacos for appetizer… It was very tasty and yummy . While we were waiting for our foods, my 2 daughters played Trivia cards game and I enjoyed the live music. We have had fantastic dinner together at Hunter and my kids do want to come back to this place again. We highly recommended this place to all.

The food was great, drinks were great and our waitress, Abby, brought excellent service. She definitely made our experience extra fun and it was appreciated. She suggested a new drink, the hunter sour, which was delicious. The espresso martini was also so good.

I travel *a lot*, and subsequently eat out *a lot*. I have to say that the service I received from Alex was the absolute best I’ve ever experienced! He was beyond attentive, courteous, and offered just the right amount of humour. I didn’t once feel rushed, and he even took the time to make sure to properly split the plate I was sharing. As if that isn’t enough, the beef dip I had was next level! A well-sized portion packed with flavour that just melted in my mouth. The trivia cards on the table were also a great touch. Oh, and did I mention the epic Caesar flight they’re offering? Do it. Get yourself to Hunter’s Public House. You won’t be disappointed.

Went here for a work function luncheon. After ordering it was a bit of a long wait for the food. The menu is displayed on a clipboard printed on paper which is all folded. The server was nice and attentive. The place was uncomfortably cold. My feet were freezing possibly because’s no double doors into the place. The table I was sitting at was just benches so there was no place to hang my coat. Luckily there was space as someone didn’t show up. But had he shown up I’m not sure what we would have done. Prices are a little steep for what you get.
