Basta Pizzeria Ristorante is a must! I had my birthday dinner there with a friend and I was very impressed with the restaurant. I had the Sausage Orecchiette pasta with a glass of Moscato. Our waitress, Skylar was so friendly, attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you Basta for making my birthday extra special !

Went to Basta for a company meeting and had the butternut squash ravioli and the salmon entree. It ravioli was creamy and cooked to perfection. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the Tuscan orzo it came on was delicious! I had the Chocolate Budino for dessert and it was perfection and the Gelato it came with was so light.

I was there during off hours. The food was fabulous. Fresh and homemade. The antique tile floor is nice, as are the authentic wood appointments. The server was very attentive but for me, a little too attentive.

I ordered Cacio e Pepe and my partner ordered the Blue Crab pasta dish- both were SO GOOD- the noodles were thick and tasted homemade. Would have given 5 stars but the bread was distinctly mid and the watermelon salad we ordered lacked the herbs advertised. Meatball appetizer was very good.

Came here about 7:00 p.m. We were seated right away. Our drink orders were taken as soon as we were seated. Also ordered an appetizer. Ordered our food soon after. Everything came out as was expected. The appetizer was very delicious. The food was good but not fantastic. The drinks were standard. The service was great. We ordered off the lunch menu (an oversight by the staff?) And then saw the evening menu. We might have ordered a different item if we would have had the correct menu.
The staff took the appetizer off the bill for the oversight. Not necessary, but appreciated.
The restroom was clean
The metal chairs are not comfortable.
The prices are a bit high for the seat.
But overall not a bad experience.

A few tweaks and it could have been a 5 star rating.

My husband and I visited one weekend and then I brought my college daughter back another weekend. We had BOGOs and wanted to try the restaurant out since we had not before. The radio was super loud the first time we visited. The waiter was great – Sam answered questions and was prompt in service. We shared the breakfast pizza (minus the fried chiles as I didn’t know how hot they would be) and the four cheese penne. The pizza was very tasty. The pasta was nothing super fancy but tasted good. Their website says that their rolls are baked in house.

The second visit we ordered eggs benedetto with pancetta and margherita pizza (website says they make their own mozz.) The potatoes were room temp at best and the egg, since it was soft was definitely not room temp due to cooking temp and the whites were still clear. I slid those bits off to the side and ate the rest. It was very tasty and I enjoyed the rosemary biscuit that was on the bottom. I was worried the herb would overpower but it was nice. The Hollandaise was very good. So while the food was tasty, it needed to be on a warm plate (not sure if was ready and waiting on the pizza or what) and the egg more done. The other egg was fine. I did not fuss with the waiter (Wyatt) as we had a BOGO and it was already free. He was very nice and chatted with us about college and ranch/ketchup and Iowans.

I did give them feedback with RESY. I do recommend reservations, just because. I think evenings, especially on a weekend could get busy.

They do have outdoor seating.

This place is a MUST when it comes to Italian food. My server, Trenton, thoroughly told me all the food items made in house. I simply ordered the gem salad with spaghetti and meatballs. My expectations were MET. People walking by even complimented my platter. The Tiramisu was cold and fresh as well. The ambiance of the restaurant and hospitality by the other staff were 10/10. I will definitely come back!

We brought our pup, Belle, to dinner during the Jazz Fest and had a wonderful time. We ordered the butternut squash ravioli which was creamy and full of flavor. Even when the rain started pouring, the staff checked on us frequently and made sure our experience stayed enjoyable.

This place was recommended by some friends and it was above and beyond. The food was superb. The steak was cooked perfectly. The shrimp and pasta was exquisite. The tiramisu was phenomenal. Our waitress Ashley was friendly , had great timing, and took great care of us. We had a few minutes with the manager and he treated us like regular customers even with us coming from out of town. Overall one of the best eating experiences my wife I have had in a long time. And this was a random date night.
