Wow . I’ve eaten here once. And never again. It’s amazing how you read the reviews and when the owner replies it always your fault not his. I say look at the parking lot anyday then ride by cornets that’s the proof this place sucks. Cornets is always packed. Great food and service. This place is a joke hahahahahaah. Couldn’t pay me to eat here

My family went here early afternoon on a Sunday and the food was really good. The waitress had great customer service. Even the owner stopped by our table to greet us. It had been a while since I visited this establishment but I happen to be in the area and wanted some good seafood. Well, if you are ever in the Rural Hall, visit Mayflowers…it is really good.

Pros: Overall great food. I’ll drive miles out of the way and past 3-4 other seafood restaurants to go to this Mayflower! The fresh and hot hush puppies are to die for. The fried oysters are the juiciest, plumpest and best l’ve ever tasted most times. Tables are always clean. This location is definitely better than All other Mayflowers in North Carolina, (W-S,Greensboro, Reidsville & Burlington). Cons: The fried white fish is great…most times. The tea is not the fresh brewed kind, and has always not been very good. The breading on the fried squash and zucchini is wayyyy tooo salty. Slaw is fresh, and the appetizers are great.Bathrooms could be cleaned better…

The other local seafood place was packed out the door so we came to Mayflower and was seated immediately with a party of 12. Take that for what you will. The food was good. The side salad was really good which I like. I hadn’t been here in a while but it hasn’t changed a bit.

The location has a covered entrance to drop off patrons at the door for easy load and unloading. We have never had to wait to be seated at lunch. Drinks and hush puppy rings are delivered to the table almost immediately. We have dined here several times and the staff has always been knowledgeable and accommodating. The food is always delicious and servings are plentiful. The atmosphere is relaxed and I have never felt rushed to eat and leave. My favorites at this location is shrimp, catfish and oysters. Try it, I think you will like it!!!

Gross!¡ I couldn’t eat it. I put one in my mouth and tasted grit. I looked at them at seen they had not been cleaned. I was done. The alfredo I also ordered was NOT seasoned properly. No flavor. Mayflowers you fell off. Guess your under new management. I like the old owner back.
